The Connnission met in regular session at 10 A.M. and was called to order by Mayor Beetle. Roll call
showed the following officers present: Mayor Beetle, Commissioners Beam and Lind, Attorney Conniff and
Clerk Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of Applications for Building Permits and Licenses the following WEre granted:

Under the head of Reading and Passage of Ordinances the following ordinance passed its third reading and
wa s adopt ed:
AN ORDINANCE vacating portions of Caroline Street in the City of Port Angeles, described as follows, to-
wit:
That portion of Caroline Street bounded on the South by Block Thirty-five (55) of
Norman R. Smith's Subdivision of the Townsite of Port Angeles, on the East by the East
line of said Block Thirty-five (55) of Norman R. Smith I S Subdivision, extended, and on
the North and West by Victoria Street.
It was moved by Commissioner Lind thet the foregoing ordinance be placed on its final reading aM adopted.
Seconded by Mayor Beetle. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
The following ordinance came up for consideration and passed its second reading:
. AN ORDINANCE for the protection of public health in the City of Port JAngeles; regulating the business of
. sla.ughtering livestock, and the preparation, sale and handling of meat and meat products intended for
human consumption; providing for the inspection of same, and providing a penalty for the violation
thereof.
Under the head of Reports from City Officers the following was read:
To the Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners
Gentlemen:
May I have your order to transfer to L.r.D. No. 156 the sum of $58.88 from the Guaranty FUnd?
All the lots in this district have paid the assessments in full, but the district is short $58.88 of
paying off the outstanding bonds.

It was mcved by Commissioner Beam that the foregoing report be approved and the Treasurer be authorized
to transfer $58.88 from the Guaranty Fund to 1.l.D. No. 156 to complete the payment of outstanding bonds
and close the district. Seconded by Mayor Beetle. On roll call all members voted aye. The lAayor
declared the motion carried.
Under the head of New Business:
Hazel White, having disposed of her Rooming House to Norma Miller, requested that her Rooming House
License No. 4784 be transferred to the said Norma Miller. There being no objections, the City ColllIlission
instructed the City Clerk to make said transfer.
The Commission examined and allONed the following claims and ordered warrants drawn for same:

Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolution was introduced:
RESOWTION
WllEREAS, the City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, which was regularJ

Beginning at the Southwest comer of Section Eight (8), Tovmship lhirty (30)
North, Range Six (6) West of the Williamette Meridian; thence northerly along
the westerly line of said Section eight (8) a distance of Five Hundred Nineteen
(519) feet to a point; thence easterly and at right angle to said westerly line
of said section Eight (8) a distance of Nineteen Hundred Forty-eight (1948) feet
to a point of beginning; thence northerly and on a line paraUel with said west-
erly line of said section Eight (8) a distance of Two Hundred Ten (210) feet to
a point; thence easterly and on a line at right angle to said westerly line of
said section Eight (8) a distance of Two Hundred Sixty (260) feet to a point;
thence southerly and on a line parallel with said westerly line of said section
Eight (8) a distance of Two Hundred Ten (210) feet to a point; thence westerly
and on a line at right angle to said westerly line of said section Eight (8) a
distance of Twc Hundred Sixty (260) feet to said point of beginning; said land
being a portion of Blocks numbered Nine (9) and Twelve (12) of Regent's Park
Addition to the Townsite of Port Angeles; and aU rights to water arising Dr
flowing from and through said land herein described, and
, WHEREAS, Ralph E. Davis and C. C. Donovan have offered to purchase the above des9ribed real property from
the City of Port Angeles for the sum of Two Hundred and nO/lOa ($200.00) Dollars, payable in cash on del-
ivery of deed, and
WHEREAS, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair
value and that at this time it is to the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and the sale
made,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port !i\ngeles sell the,
said property at private sale to the said Ralph b. Davis and C. C. ~onovan for the sum hereinabove set
forth; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a deed conveying said property to the purchasers;
that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be, and he is hereby instructed to execute said deed, and
that the Mayor of said City be, and he is hereby instructed to countersign said deed when the purchase
price has been paid in full.
It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Connnissioner Lind. On roll call aU members voted aye. l'he Mayor declared the motion carried.
There being no further business the Connnissi on then adjourned.
