Roll call . sh"'~ed the following Officers present: l.iayor Epperson, Commissioners Steele and Johnson, Attorney Vlilson i and Cle rk Law. Smith Subd. . Under the head of New Business, a request in writing by the City Treasurer for the cancellation of a sales contract vnth John VI. Stockert for the purchase of Lot 7, Block 128 of D. W. Morse's Subdivision was read i before the Commission. As the contract was dated August ~6, 1944 and no payments have be'en made since 10cto'ber 10, 1944, it was moved by Com:nissioner Steele that the contract be cancelled; seconded by Commis- sioner Johnson. All voted "Aye"; motion carried. . An order from the City Clerk to the City Treasurer regarding cancellation of certain ooupons from the Light II Inve:stmen t Fund was read as follows: . Madge H. Nailor, April 24, 1946 . City Treasurer:- You are hereby informed that through recommendation of State Examiner Smith, and by order of the I City Commission, you are instr<Lcted to cancel from the Lieht Investment Flmd: Coupon No.4, of Elk I s . Building Bond No. 51, $7.00; Bond 110. 52, ~17.00; and Bond No. 200, $3.50. Respectfully submitted, J. E. rAW City Clerk It was moved by Commissioner Steele that the foregoing cancellations be made; seconded by Commissioner I Jo]mson. All voted "Aye"; motion carried. I Bessie Maliski of ths Yellow Cab Company and Red's Taxi appeared before the Corrmission regarding double I parking tickets when it was often necessary to double park when picking up custcmers. After considerable I discussion, it was agreed tha t the Taxi Companies and Police Department would continue to cooperate as much, as possible. I Il'.rs; Charnell, representing the Washingtcn P.T.A. and a Committee of others, spoke before the Commission :1 regarding zoning and suggested that building pennits should not be granted until one week after application I is made. Commissioner Steele was in favor of holding over such permits when more than one building was to 'be constructed on the same lot. Attorney Wilson advised that new building code and zoning Ordinance was being drawn which should elimina te most of the difficulties. Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions, the following was introduced: RES 0 L UTI 0 N I'WHEREAS, the City Com"lission in regular session September l~, 1945 approved and adopted an emergency Ordin- J ance'declaring an emergency, and authorizing the issuance of emergency warrants in the State Aid Fund for 1 I the ,amount of '~IO,OCO.OO and in the Sanitary }und for the amount of $9,000.00; and IWHEREAS, it appears that through oversight the said Ordinance was never executed and the amount of $10,000. I is not required for the State Aid Fund; now :1 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles that the City Treasurer be ~ authorized to transfer from the Current Expense Fund the sum of $5,488.~6 to the State Aid Fund and $9'000'0011 to the Sanitary Fund. It was moved by Commissioner Steele that the foregoing Resolution be approved and adopted; seconded by Commissioner Johnson. All voted "Aye"; motion carried.
