The Commission lIlet in regular session at 10 A .M. and was called to order by Mayor Robinson. Roll call.
showed the following officers present: Mayor Robinoon, Commissioners Beam and Masters, and Attorney
Johnston.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of AppliClltions for Building Permits the follO'll'i.ng were granted:
Matt Trickey, Build Garage and Woodshed, Lots 5 and 6, Block 555, TOwnsite

Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolution was introduced I
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, "he City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, baving acquired
the same by Treasurer's deed dated lI.arch 1, 1944, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9593 of
Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Lll'IIS of 1929, page 365, to-wit:
Undivided balf of Lot Sixteen (16), Block l'hirty-sight (38), Townsite of
Port fAngeles, Washington, and

WHEREAS, ThoWls .... .Aldirell has offered to pIlrchase the above described real property from the City of Port
Angeles for the sum of $175.00, and
WHEREAS, The l1.ty Commission of Port Angeles bas viewed the s aid property and is of the opinioll that the
offer is fair value and is in excess of the amount paid by the City for said property, plus all L.LD..
assessments, including interest and other charges against the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the
said property at private sale to the said Thomas T. Aldirell for the sum hereinalxlve set forth, subject to
any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed
conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City "lerk of the City of Port Angeles be,and he is
hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angele s be and
he is hereby instructed to cOlliltersign said quit claim deed.
It was moved by Commiesioner Masters that the forego1ne resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Co!llllissioner Beam. On roll call all members voted aye. lne Mayor declared the motion carried.
Under the head of Introduction of Ordinances the following ordinance was introduced, read in full and
placed on its first reading:
AN ORDINANCE ordering and providing for the condemnation, under the right of eminent demand by the City
of Port Angeles, of certain parcels of land hereinafter described, to be used for the maintenance of a
water pipe line from 1Iorse Creek to the City of p.rt Azweles as the same is no... established over and across
the said land, together with a strip of land five (5) feet on either side of said pipe line and the right I
to go upon and across said land for the purpoee of maintenance, repair or rene...al thereof and damaging the
remainder of s;dd property, if necessary, and providing compensation for the owners. ,

Under the head of New Business:
Nelson Pruett having sold his bl1siness, The Nite Spot, to Z. L. W1llialllll, requested in writing that hie
restauant Licenee No. 5265, be transferred to the said Z. L. Williams. There being no objections the
ColIDiesion instructed the Clerk to make the transfer as requested.
The War Department, in order to eliminate all possibility of delay,presented to the City Commission for
execution, 5 copies of C.R. Form :/08 to secure a supplemental agreement to dispense .with notice of
renewal of Lease 110. W2666-eng-80, covering Suburban Lots 110, 111 and 112 in the City of Port Angeles,
Cldlam Count)', Washington, being 30 acres, more or less, and being a part of Lincoln Park.
It was moved by Comnissioner Beam that the Mayor be instructed to sign all 5 copies of the said supplemental
agreement and return them to the Division Engineer, Pacific Division, 217 Lloyd Building, Seattle. Washing-;
ton. Seconded by COllllliss ioner Masters. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor de clued the
moti en carried.
Under the head of Reports from "ity Officers:
The City Eneineer presented a report relating to t he safety and convenience of ~utomobile drivers and
pedestrilllls on account of t hs construction of drh"eways of exceosive width across sidewalks to serve I
fUling stations and garages and recommended the passage of an ordinance regulating the matter.
lbe Engineer referred the report to the .City Engineer and Supt. of Light Department for f'\1rther information.
