Roll call smwed the following officers present: Mayor Beetle, Commis,sioners Beam and Lind, Acting Attorney Taylor and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Under the head of Applications for Building Permits the fcllewing was granted: C. Clapshaw, Build dwelling, Lot 1, Block 100, Townsite 1000.00 Under the head of Unfinished Business: In the matter of the Vacation of that portion of tha) alley between 13th and 14th Streets, and Cherry and) Valley Streets, which abuts the following described) lots, to-wit: Lots 6 to 10, inclusive and Lots 11 to) NOTICE OF HEARING ON PETITION TO VACATE 15, inclusive, Block 289, Townsite of Port Angeles, ) Washington. ) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That on March 25, 1942, a petition was filed with the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles, signed by John M. Wilson and by the City Commission of the followong described portion of the alley in Block 3B9, Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, to-wit: That portion of the alley between 13th and 14th Streets and Cherry and Vallsy Streets, which abuts the following described lots, to-wit: Lots 6 to 10, inclusive and 11 to 15, inclusive, Block 389, Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington. The said petition was signed by all the property owners abutting on the portion of said alley so to be vacated, except Clallam County, the owner of said Lot 10 of said Block 389. You are further notified that Wednesday, the 29th day of April, 1942, at the meeting place of the City Commission in the Fire Department B~ilding in the City of Port Angeles, at 10 o'clock A.M. of said day at the regular meeting of said Commission, has been fixed as the time and place for the hearing on said .petition to vacate. All persons having objections to the vacation of the said portion of said alley are hereby notified to be present at said time and place and make or file their objections. COUNTY OF CLALLAM ) H. ~. Dodge being first duly sworn, deposes and says that he is of full age, a resident of Port Angeles, Clallam ~ounty, State of Washington, and a citizen of the United States and of the Sate of Wash- ington; that on the 7th day of April, 1942, he posted four true and complete copies of the original : notice of hearing on petition to vacate that portion of the alley described in the notice of hearing hereto attached; One copy was posted at tha front door of the Court House in Clallam County, Washington; one at the front door of the City Building at 140 West Front Street, Port Angeles; one on the bullatin board at the Port Angeles Evening News; also one at a conspicuous place on the alley abutting Lot 6, Block 389, Port .Angeles, Washington, a portion of which is sought to be vacated in the petition in the above entitled matter. After due consideration it was moved by Commissioner Lind that that portion of the alley running through Block 389 of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, be vacated, and the City Attorney be instructed to bring in en ordinance vacating sarna. Motion seconded U,y Mayor Beetle. On roll call all membars voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Pursuant to the call for bids for the sale of Lots 14, 15, 16 and 17, Block 1 of Cain's Subdivision of Suburban Lot 21, Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, the City Clerk reported the following bid on file: Port fAngeles General Hospital Association, :$242.72 It was moved U,y Commissioner Beam that the above bid be accepted. Seconded by Commissioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor de- clared the motion carried.
