The Commission met in regular session at 10 a.m. and was oalled to order by Mayor
, Davis. Roll call showed the following officers present. Mayor Davis, Commissioners Beam
and Filion, Attorney Plummer and Clerk Hawkins.
-The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.

Police Judge Thos.Geisness reported 12 eases tried and $68.00 colleoted in fines
for the month of April,1932. Report ordered filed.
Under the head of Reading and Passage of Ordinances,the following Ordinance was read
by Title and placed on its Third reading,-
AN ORDINAUCE Authorizing the issuanoe and sale of looal improvement bonds for Local
Improvement District No.142 to pay the oost and expense of the improvements in said
district as ordered and provided for in Ordinanoe No.952, approved Sept.9,1931,entitled
"An Ordinance ordering and providing for the oonstruction of a trunk sewer in portions
of the streets and alleys in the City of Port Angeles, to wit; A trunk sewer with
appurtenanoes commencing at the intersection of the alley between Sixth and Seventh
streets and the center line of "R" street; thence northerly on "R" Street to the center
line of the alley between Fifth and Sixth Streets; thenoe Westerly thriough said alley
to "I" street; thenoe Northerly on "I" Street to Fifth street; thence Westerly on Fifth
Street to an un-named street approximately five hundred feet westerly from the West
margin of "M" street and thence Northerly on said unenamed street to Fourth street;
thence Westerly approximately eight hundred feet to the out-fall on the Straits of
Juan de Fuaa, also extending from Fifth Street Southerly on said un-named street whioh
is approximately Five hundred feet West from the Westerly margin of "M" street to Sixth
Street, which said trunk sewer is to be construated for the purpose of providing
sewerage and drainage for the property whioh oan be sewered and drained and thus
benefitted thereby and desaribed herein, creating and fixing the boundaries of the
improvement distriot aomprising the property benefitted by said sewer; providing for
the payment of the cost and expense thereof by speaial assessment of the property within'
the said distriot in aooordanoe with the law and by the mode of "payment by bonds",all
in acoordance with Improvement Resolution No.142 of the City of Port Angeles and in
acoordance with the ~ps, plans and speoifications prepared by the City Engineer,and
approving and adopting the said maps, plans and speaifications."

It was moved by Mayor Davis that the Ordinance be placed on its final passage and
adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Beam. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor
daolared the motion oarried.
Under unfinished business,-

The City Engineer having reported baok to the Commissfunn on the Petition of
F.L.Christman and others for the improvement of Peabody Street from the South end of
Peabody Creek Bridge to the North margin of the Boulevard by grading,graveling,treating
the 40-foot roadway with asphalyio oil and oonstructing cement sidewalks,it was found
that after taking into aonsideration the withdrawels from the original petition after
it had been filed with the City Clerk that the petition covered approximately 35% of
the property in the proposed distriot. ~fter listening to argument for and against the
the petition and the advisability of making the improvement at this time the Commission
deferred further aotion oonoerning the matter until conditions improved.
Under the head of New Business,-
The Commission instruoted the City Clerk to publish notioe that it is the intention
of the Commission to lease to the Paris Motor Co. Inc. the following portion of Cherry
Street desoribed as fOllows,- All of Cherry street from the Northerly line of the portion
occupied by the right-ot-way of the Chioago,Milwaukee,St.Paul & Pacifia Railroad Co., I
Northerly to the outer Harbor line in front of said City.
The lease being for the purpose of construating and maintaining a slip and other
equipment for the handling and disoharge of oil and oil prpducts. The lease is proposed!
for a term of 10 years trom May 31,1932,at an annual rental of $10.00; provided that the
rental shall be adjusted between the paDties at the expiration of five years from the
said date as provided in Sec.9070,Remington's 1922 Code.
The Commission examined and allowed the following olaims and ordered warrants
