The Conmission met in regular session at 10 a.m. and was called to order by Mayor Beetle. Roll call
shcrwed the following officers present: Mayor Beetle, Commissioners Beam and Lind, Attorney Conniff and
Cleric Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of Applications for Building Permits and Licenses the following were granted:
H. L. Banderob, Remodel House, Nt Lot 6, Block 57, .Leighton's Subd.
, Kelly Leschman, Remodel House, 52 Lots 19 & 20, Block 417, Townsite
: Sig Larson, Remodel Store Room, d Lot 11, Block 16, N.R. Smith Subd.

Police Judge, W. F. Phillips, reported 81 cases tried and $809.00 collected in fines for the month of
April, 1941. Report ordered filed.
Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolutions were introduced:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The City of Port Mgeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired
the same by Treasurer's deed dated May 2, 1941, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9595 of
Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-wit:
The East half of Lot Seventeen (17) and all of Lot Eighteen (18), Block One Hundred Twent~one
(121), Thomas W. Carter's Subdivision of "uburban Lots 11 and 16, Port Angeles, Washington, and .
WHEREAS, George Gouker has offered to purchase from the City of Port Angeles the above described real
, property for the SUlIl of $225.00, payable as follows: $25.00 as a down payment and $10.00 on or before
the 15th Day of June, 1941, and :ilh0.00 on or before the 15th day of each and every month thereafter until
paid in full, together with interest on monthly balances at the rate of 7% per annum, and

WHEREAS, The City Commissioners have viewed the said property and are of the opinion that the offer is fair I
value and is in excess of the amount paid by the City for said property, plus all L.LD. assessments" !
including interest aoo other charges against the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the
said property at private sale to the said George Gouker for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any
other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed
conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the "1ty of Port \l.ngeles be and he is
hereqy instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and
he is hereby instructed to counter sign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued
interest thereon has been paid in full.
It was moved by Commissoner Beam that the foregoing resolution be approved aoo adopted. Seconded by
Commissioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS" The City of Port Al1€eles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired

WHEREAS, Anselm Blomquist and Ellen Blomquist, husbaoo and wife, have offered to purchase from the City of
Port li\ngeles the above described real property for the sum of fL50.oo, payable as follows: $15.00 as a I
down payment and $10.00 on or before the 15th day of June, 1941, and 1P10.00 on or before the 15th day of
each and every month thereafter until paid in full, together with interest on monthly balances at the rate I
of 7% per annum, and

WHEREAS, The City Commissioners have viewed the said property and are of the opinion that the offer is
fair value and is in excess of the amount paid by the City for said property, plus all L.LD. assessments, I
including interest and other' charges against the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the
said property at private sale to the said JAnselm Blomquist and Ellen Blomquist, husband and wife, for the '

Lot Sixteen (16) and the West half of Lot Seventeen (17), Block One Hundred Twenty-one
(121) of Thomas W. Carter's Subdivision of Suburban Lots 11 and 16, Port Angeles,
Washington, and
WHEREAS, Howard P. Breen and Mabel Breen, husband and wife, have offered to purchase the above described
real property from the City of Port Angeles for the sum of $225.00, and

of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the

Washington; and Lot One (1), Block Four (4) of Westphal's First Subdivision
to Port Angeles, Washington,
h"ving acquired Lot Eleven (11), Block Two (2) of London Park SUbdivision to Port Angeles, Washington,
by Treasurer's Deed dated May 3, 1941, and Lot One (1), Block Four (4) of Westphal's First Subdivision to
Port ~eles, Washington, by Treasurer's Deed dated June 1, 1958, under and by virtue of the authority of
Section 9595 of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 565, and
WHEREAS, Asa A. Parshall and Mabel L. Parshall, husband and wife, have offered to purchase the above
described real property from the City of Port Angeles, for the sum of $200.00, and
WHEREAS, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair
value and is in excess of the alllount paid by the City for said property, plus all L.I.D. essessments,
including interest and other charges against the same,
NOR, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOEVED that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the
said property at private sale to the said Asa A. Parshall and Mabel L. Parshall, husband and wife, for the
sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be
instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchasers, and that the City
Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that
the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed.
It was moved by Corn.'Ilissioner Beam that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
