liThe Commission met in regular session at 10 A.M., and was called to order by Mayor Epperson. Roll call showJd
]the following Officers present: Mayor Epperson, Commissioners Johnson & Steele, Attorney Wilson & Clerk Law.]
The Minutes of the previous session were read and approved.

Ic. S. Siunmons and others representing a portion of Peabody Heights district spoke before the Commission i
iregarding water system in that district. The Commission decided to meet with as largeaa representation of the
'district as could attend, at 8:00 P.M., May 21, for furtber discussion. . II
The Mesdames Jensen and Van Scoyoc requested information regarding the setting aside of certain City mrned
,lots for playground purposes, and the date of willy 22 was set for legal procedure. They also invited the
'Commission to be at Erickson's playfield at 2:00 P.!~. Sunday; May 12, for picture taking of children and
'I surroundings .
'!suP1t Pike discussed the difficulties encountered in collections of gar'Qage and suggested that rates should
ibe increased. It was decided to make further study and present at future session.

I,The lease of a portion of Ediz Hook to the P. A. Boat Club was approved by the Commission, and signed by the 1',1
Mayor.. Term of lease is td> be fifteen years, with ninety days for removal of equipment at termingtion.
IA peti~ion was presented to the Commisoion by Mrs. Pollock with numerous signatures requesting the repair anA
lopening of East Third Street bridge. The Conrnission agreed to investigate and get estimate of material and ~

IA petition requesting the vacation of the fifteen foot alley in Block One of Cain's Subdivision of Suburban
ILot No. 2l was presented to the Commission. Also a petition to vacate 18 inches of the east side of Chase
:street.from First Street south to alley. The date of hearings on said petitions was set for June 5, 1946.

IThe Clerk was instructed to call for bids for the sale of one Fordson Tractor with Gilbert Road Grader
att~chment, by the Street Dept. Bids to be opened V~y 22.
