The COllunission met in regular session at 10 A. M. and was called to order by Mayor Robinson. Roll Call
showed the following officers present: Mayor Robinson, Commissioners Beam & Masters, Attorney Johnston,
and Clerk Hawkins.
The'minutes of tt.e previous session Vlere read and approved.
W. F. Phillips, Police Judge, reported 115 cases tried and ;'1091. 50 collected in "fines for tlle month of
April, 1945. Report ordered filed.

Under the !tead of unfinished business: The matter of the wholesale power contract with Public Utility
District No.1, Clallam County, Wash., witn the City of Port Angeles, Washington, to furnish electricity
at wholesale, for the purpose of re-sale, come before the City Comrrission for approval.
It Vias moved by Commissioner Masters that the said contract be approved and that the Mayor be instructed
, to sign the same on behalf of the City of Port Angeles. Seconded by Commissioner Beam. On roll call all
melOlbers vot.ed Aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
Under the head of introduction of resolutions, the following was introduced:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, tlle Cit)' of Port AngeJe s is the ovmer of the following described real prope:,ty, having acquired
the' same by Treasurer's deed, dated Mii'Y 7, 1945, under and b;y virtue of the authority of Section 9393 of
Renington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws of 19119, page 365, to-wit:
Lots Eleven (11), ~velve (12), Thirteen (13), and Fourteen (14), in Block Throe
Hundred Ninety-four (324), Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, and,

WHEREAS, J. H. Catlin has offered to purchase from the City of Port Angeles the above described real propeIjly
for' the sum of $140.00, payable as follows: $40.00 as a dO\m payment and $10.00 on or before the 6th day 'I
i of June, 1945, and $10.00 on or before the 6th day of each and every month thereafter until paid ~n full. I
Interest to be computed at the rate of &% per annum on the balance dne and paid with the monthly installments,

1'1LiEREJI.S, the City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opJ.n1on that the offer is fair value
and at this time it is to the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and the sale made.
NOiV, TIlEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Ar,geJe s sell the
said property at private sale to t.he said J. H. Catlin for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any
other valid liens against the same;: that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed t
conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Po't't Angeles be and he is l
hereby instructed to execute said quitclaim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and he
is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed, when the purchase price and all accrued interest i
thereo~ has been paid in full.
It ,ms moved by Commissioner Masters the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
eo:cmissioner Bean. Roll Gall showed all members voting Aye. The Mayor declared tne motion carried.
The Commission examined and allowed the follo,d.ng claims, and ordered warrants drawn in payment of the same:
