The Commission met in regular session at 10 A.M. and was called to order by Mayor Ravis. Roll call showed
the following officers present: Mayor Davis, Commissioner Masters, Attorney Conniff and Clerk Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of Applications for Building Permits the following were granted:

Under t he head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolutions were introduced:
RESOLUTION CANCELING AND RECINDING RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING SALE' OF W~OF LOT 5 AND E~ OF.LOT
6, BLOCK 1, TIDELAND EAST OF LAUREL STREET IN
FRONT OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES, WASHINGTON
WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles, by that certain resolution adopted by the City Commission March 9,
1958, Ind recorded on page 576 of Vol. 19 of Commissioners' Proceedings, authorized the sale of the W~
of Lot 5 and the E~ of Lot 6, Block 1, Tideland East of Laurel Street in front of the City of Port Angeles,
Washington, to John Goneis, and
WHEREAS, The said John Goneis did, on the 17th day of May, 1938, relinquish all his right and intent in
and to the hereinabove described real property, the said relinquishment being on file in the City Clerk's
office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESCLVED, That the said resolution above referred to, recorded on page 576 of Vol.
19 of ~ommissionersl Proceedings authorizing the sale of the above described real property to John Goneis,
be and the same is hereby canceled and recinded, and the City Clerk is hereby instructed to make the
proper entries showing the said cancelation of record.
It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing resolution be adopted. Seconded b:i Mayor Davis.
On roll call all members voted aye. The ~ayor declared the motion carried.
RESOLUTION
WHERE;AS, Tlte City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired
the same by Treasurer's deed dated l~rch 4, 1938, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9393 of
Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws of 1929, page 365, to-wit:
w~ of Lot Five (5) and the ~ of Lot Six (6), Block One (1), Tideland East of
Laurel Street in front of the City of Port Angeles, Clallam County, Washington;
AND W"rIEREAS, John Goneis has offered to purchase the above described real property from the City of Port
Angeles upon the following tems and conditions: Purchase price, $4,500.00, payable as follows, $77.75
in cash, and the balance of $4,422.25 payable as follows, $25.00 on or before the 20th day of May, 1938,
and $25.00 on or before the 20th day of each month thereafter up to and including May 20, 1941~ and
$50.00 on or before the 20th day of each and every month thereafter until the balance is paid in full.
Interest on the balance due to be computed monthly as follows: At the rate of 5% per annum up to and
including May 20, 1941; and at the rate of 6% per anmun from May 20, 1941, until the balance due is paid
in full. Interest at all times to be deducted from the monthly payments and the balance of said payments
to be applied on the principal. PROVIDED THAT in the event of the said John Ganeis building upon said
property or selling his interest in said property within the period up to and including M~y 20, 1941,
then from the date of the completion of said building or the sale of his interest in said property, the
monthly payments shall be increased to $50.00 per month and the interest rate shall be increased to 6%
per annwn; and

WHEREAS the amount offered for the above described real property is in excess of the amount paid by the
said City for said property, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair
value.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the said offer be ~ccepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell
the 'sa.id property at private sale till the said John Goneis for the sum hereinabove set forth, that the
City Attorney be instructed ti prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and
that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim
deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to countersign said
quit claim deed, when the purchase price and all accrued interest thereon has been paid in full.
It was moved by ~ommissioner Masters that the foregoing r"solution be adopted. Seconded by Mayor Davis.
On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
There beine no further business the Commission then adjourned.
