The Commission met in regular session <=It 10 J; .~L and ,WP!~ cglled to order b;r Mayor Robinscn. RoJ.l call
showed the following officers present: ~ayor Robinson, Commissioners Beam and Masters, ~ttorney Johnston
and Clerk Hawkins.
The m.nut8~ of the previous sessi0n '''-ere read and approved.
Under the head of Applications for Licenses the followir.;; was granted:

Under the heac of New Business:
There being more than one party who wished to purchase Lots 1 and Z, Block 196, To~nsite of Port Angeles,
sealed bids were asked for and two bids received, the bids being as follo/vs:

The bid of C. W. Jarvis being the highes~ and best bid, it was moved by Commissioner Masters that his bid
be ac"epted and the above described property sold tohim. Seconded by Mayor Robinson. On roll call all
members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
Under the head of Int~oduction of Resolutions the following resolutions were introduced:
RESOTcUTION
WHEREAS, The City of Port Aneeles is the o~ner of the following described real property, having acquired
the sar:.e by Treaeurer1's deed dated November 19, 1941, unde:-- a~d "3y virtue of the authority o~ Section
9393 of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws of 1929, page 3e5, to-wit:
Lots One (1) and TY,o (2), Block O~e Hundred Ninety-six (196),
Tovmsite of Port Angeles, Washi~gton, and
WHEREAS, C. W. Jarvis has offered to purchase the above described real property from the City of Port
Angebs for theSlm of $275.00, and
WHEREAS, The City Comnission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fa~r
value and is in excess ~f the amount paid by the City for the said property, plus all L.T.D. assess~ents,
including interest and other charges against the 8ame~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT rrESCllVED that the said of:er be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the
said property at private sale to the said C. W. Jarvis for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any
other valid liens agai.'1st the same; that the City Atto::'ney be inst,ructed to prepare a. quit claim deGd
conveybg said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he
is hereby instructed to execute said c"uit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be an

It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing rcsoluticn be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Vayor Robinson. On roll call all me~bers voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
RESOLUTIOI'I
W-rlEREAS, The City of Pert Angeles is tho owner of the following desoriffid property, having acquired the
same by Treasurer's deed jated May 17, 1943, under and by virtue of the authoYity of Section 9593 of
Remington1s Revised Statutes; ~hapter 143 of' the lawf of 1929, page 365~ to-wit:
Lot Seventeen (17), Block TYro Hundred Seventy-seven (277),
Townsite 01' Port Angeles, Washington~ and
WHEREAS, George W. ~r~s tas offe~ed to purc~ase ~he above described real property from the City of Fort
Angeles for the sum of $150.00, payable as fellows: $15.00 as a dcwn paJ'::18"t and $7.50 on or before the
1st day of July, 1943, and $7.50 on or before the 1st day of each and every month ther9after until paid
in full; interest to be computed a~ the rate of 7% per 2Th'um on tte oalRnce due and paid with the ~onthly
installments, and
WHERE~.S, the City Com:nission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair
value and is in excess of the amount oaid by the City for said property, plus all L.I.D. essessments,
including all interest anj other charges against the same:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESC,LVED that the sa~d offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the
said property at private sale to the s~id George W. Byrns for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to
any other valid liens against the SaJ!l8; that the City Att.orney be instructed to prepare a quit clair:": deed
conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be,and he is
hereby ins~ructed to execute said quit clai~ deed, and that the Mayor e: the Cit,v of rort Angeles be, and
he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all eccrued
interest thereon has bee:1 paid in full.
It was moved by CCnt'70issioner Masters that the forevoing resolution be approved and a dDpted. Seconded by-
Meyer Robinson. On roll call all the me~bers voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.

WHERE~S, Algot Bong has offered to purchase the aboye described rea1 property from ths Cit;y of Port Angeles
for the sum of $300.00, payable as follews: $30.00 as a down payment and $15.00 on or before the 20th
day of June, 1943, and $15.00 on or before the 20th day of each and every month thereafter until pa id
in full] interest to be computed at the rate of 7% per annum on the balance due and paid with the monthly

other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed con-
veying said property tc the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be, and he is
hereby instructed to execute said ~uit claim deed, and that the Mayor of said City of Port Angeles be, and
he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all acc~Qed
interest thereon has :e en paid in full.
It was moved by Co~~issioner Masters that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Mayor Rob::.fi.son. On roll call all members voted aye. The Marer declared the motion carried.
