1. Consideration of Lead Agency Status for the Port Angeles Centennial
Trail Project
Mayor Sargent stated that both she and Manager Flodstrom have met with
representatives from the County, Peninsula Trails Coalition, Representa-
tive Evan Jones, and other State representatives to discuss this issue.
The meeting was held to discuss funding of the project and to establish a
lead agency. She made note of a letter received from the County in
support of the city of Port Angeles taking the position of the lead agency
for the acquisition of funds for the Port Angeles Centennial Trail. If

the grant, either on a 50/50 basis in 1990, and/or a 75/25 basis in 1991.
Following a short discussion on the issue, Councilman Nicholson moved that
the City of Port Angeles be the lead agency in the Port Angeles Centennial

unanimous ly.
