Roll call showed the following officers present: Mayor Beetle, Conrnissioners Beam ani Lind, Attorney Conniff and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Under the head of Applications for Building Permits and Licenses, the following were granted: E. F. McLane, Build House, Lot 13, Block 121, T. W. Carter I s Subd. Geo. T. Heckman, Remodel House, Lot 12, Block 293, Townsite Geo. T., Taylor, Build Office, Lot 18, Block 38, townsite I Jim Goerge, Repair Cafe, Lot 8, Block 16, N. R. Smith SuM. H. A. Harris, Build Garage, Lot 20, Block 327, Townsite I Mrs. Felicia Holmer's Natural Food Health Shop, Counter Lunch I Junder the head of Introduction of Ordinances the following ordinance was introduced, read in full and placed on its first and second readings: "! j AN ORDIN~_NCI!: relating to the unlawful wearing of the unifonn of the United States "I'III\f, Navy, Marine Corps, land Coast Guard; defining offenses, prescribing penalties; and declaring an emeregency. REVOLVING FUND City Treasurer Taxes 63.30 Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolution was introduced: RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acq.lired the same by Treasurer's deed dated May 26, 1941, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9395 of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143, of the Laws of 1929, page 365, to-wit: ~ Proceedings of the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles, Washington May 28, 1941 19_ 283 I I I I I Lots Ten (10), Eleven (n) and Twelve (12), Block Three(S) of Westphal's First ~ulxiivision to Fbrt mngeles, Washington, and WHEREAS, H. V. Charnell, Jr. bas offered to purchase from the City of Port Angeles the above described real property for the sum of $SOO.OO, payable as follows: $30.00 as a down payment and $10.00 on or :efore the 26th Day of June, 1941, and $10.00 cn or before the 26th day of each and every month thereafter until paid in full, together with interest computed at the rate of 7% per annum on balances due and paid with the monthly installments, and WHEREAS, the City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and is in excess of the amount paid by the City for said property, plus all L.LD. assessments, includDng interest and other charges agai~9t the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the said property at private sale to the said H. V. Chamell, Jr. for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any valid liens against the same; that the City.Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the Uity of Port Angeles be,and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be, and he is hereby instructed to countorsign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued interest thereon has been paid in full. It was moved by Commissioner Beam thet the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. 'the Mayor declared the motion carried.
