Roll call of officers showed the following present: Mayor Epperson, Commissioners Steele and Johnson, AttorneYiWilson; and.Clerk Law. Minutes of the previous session Vlere read and approved. I' Under the head of applioations 'Harris & Schuller : Peterson & Craver , Hjallnar C. Thorp for building permits, the follOVTing were granted: Build warehouse & repair platform, Lot 5, Elk 1 Tidelanda E. Build dwelling, Lot 4, Block ~a Townsite Build 4 room dwelling, Lot 13, Blk. 502, Townsite $ '950.00 10,000.00 2,000.00 I Under the head of unfinished business, and pursuant to bids called for one truck chassis, the follOVTing were opened: Janish Motor Co., $4487.20 and 5977.29; Olympic White Truck Co., $5016.00 and 4614.75; Truck and, E'luipment Co., $4791.59; Aiken Motore, $5884.11; Sa!llUelson Motor Co., $2258.26; It was moved by Commissioner Johnson that the bids be filed for further consideration until the next session. Seconded by Mayor Eppersort. All members voted Aye. Motion carried. , Under the head of new business, a proposal by the Natural Gas Corp. to furnish power to the City from a Lyre River power site was read, and Commissioner Steele read his reply to the same. Mr. Steele also made a motion that Light Supt. Lean make a thorough study.~bf the situation and submit his report to the Commission. All voted Aye. Motion carried. It was moved by Co~~issioner Steele that the summer schedule of office hours be in effect Monday, June 2, for three months. Hours to be from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M., and Saturday from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. Motion seconded by Mayor Epperson. All voted Aye. Motion Carried. Fire Chief Wolverton informed the Commission that three shacks near the Salmon Club should be removed. The Attorney explained that being sub-laased property, the Washington Pulp & Paper Corp. is responsible. J. W. Lindsay'spoke before the Commission regarding culvert, SIlWer, and filling of alley from Lincoln to Chase Sts. between 1st and 2nd Sts. W.r. Lindsay will present another petition for the said improvement. The report of Police Judge Taylor for April, 1947, showing 158 cases tried and $2251.00 fines collected was approved and ordered filed. Under the head of reading and passage of Ordinences, the following was passed first and second reading: I ORDINANCE NO. 1082 I I AN ORDINANCE amending Section 4 of Ordinance No. 1170 of the City of Port Angeles, providing for the I improvement of Eighth, Ninth, Tenth and Eleventh Streets East of Lincoln 5treet, and Twelfth Street from I Chase to Vine Streets, and Chase, Peabody and Eunics Streets South of Eighth street. It was moved by Mayor Epperson that theforegoing Ordinance by passed first am second reading; Secorxled by Commissioner Johnson. All voted Aye. Motion carried. Under the head of introduction of resolutions for the sale of real property by the City, the foll~ring was introduced: Travis H and Norma J. White, Lots 4 and 5, Block 3, Hartt & Cooke's Subdivision of Suburban Block No. Thirty-one, Townsite of Port Angeles, $ 556.00 : It was moved by Commissioner Steele that the foregoing resolution be approved and the property sold. Seconded by Mayor Epperson. All voted Aye. Mot ion carried. !
