The Commission met pursuant to adjournment at 11 A.N. and was called to order by Mayor
I Davis. Holl call showed t.'w following officers present: Mayor Davis, Commissioners
Lutz and Masters, ~ttorney Conniff and Clerk Hawkins.
Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following Resolution was introduced:
RESOLUTION
\'IHERc:AS, the City of Port Angeles on April 22, 1936, executed a new power contract wi th
the Puget Sound Power & Light Company, and,
VffiEREAS, under said new power contract a saving in the cost of power to the City was
effected, and
VffiER~AS, the date from which the lower rate to the vity under said contract was effective
was August I, 1935, and
VffiEREAS, the effective date of the Ordinance pas bed by the Ci ty of Port "'n8'310s reducing
the retail rate for electrical energy to ci tizens of Port '\ngeles was May H, 1936, and
1IHEREAS, between ,-uG\lst I, 1935 and "pril 22, 1936, ~y reason of said neVI contract the
Ci ty 0 f Port Ange Ie s saved approximately the sum of ~ll, 66 6.59, and
mlEREAS, it is the desire o'f the City of Port An,~eles acting through its City Commission-
ers to pass this saving on to its consumers of electrical energy, and
',','HEREAS, the said consumers'bills for the month of May, 1936, will aggregate approximate-
ly $11,000.00,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT R:::SOLVED That the City of Port "ngeles shall pass on to its con-
sumers of electrical energy the approximate amount saved by virtue of said new contract
as above outlined, and that this saving be passed on to said consumers in the follo~ing
manner: By credi ting each and every cus tomer's elec tr'ical energy account \'Ii th the
amount debited against each and. every such customer for the electrical energy month of
May, 1936.
It was moved by Commissioner Lutz that the foregoing rtesolution be approved and adopted.
Seconded by Commissioner 1.lasters. On roLL call all members voted aye. The Mayor
declared the motion carried.
There being no further business the Commission then adjourned.
