The Com;nission met in regular session at 10 m.M. and was called to order by Mayor Davis. Roll call
showed the following officers present: Mayor Davis, Commissioners Henson and Masters, Attorney Conniff
and Clerk Hallkins.
The minutes of t he previous session were read and approved.
'Under the head of Applications for Building Permits the following were granted:
S. E. Loghry, Remodel House, Suburban Lot 101, l'ownsite
W. V. Owens, Shingle Roof, Lot 5, Blk. 2, H. E. wtz Sulxiivision
B. Middleton, Construct House, Lot 6, Blk. 91, Townsite

Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolution was introduced:
RESOIUTION
WHEREAS, '1'he City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired
the same by TreasUrer's Deed, dated June 2, 1939, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9395
of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 365, to-wit:
Lots Twelve (12) and thirteen (13), Block Fifteen (15), P.S.C.C. SUbdivision of
Suburban Lot 54 and 35, Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, and
WHEREAS,- Winifred Trudeau has offered to purchase from the City of Port Angeles the above described real
property for the sum of $125.00, payable as follows: $15.00 as a down payment and the balance of $110.00
payable $5.00 on or before the 6th day of July, 1959, and $5.00 on or before the 6th day of each and
every month thereafter until paid in full. Interest at the rate ,of 7% per annum to be computed monthly
on the balance due and paid with the monthly installment, and
WHEREAS, '<he City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair
value and is in excess of the amount paid by the City for said property, plus all L.LD. assessments,
including interest and other charges against the same,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port ~geles sell the
said property at private sale to the said Winifred lrudeau for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to
al1Y' and .other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim
deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the Lity of Port Angeles be and
he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles
be ani he is here by instructed to countersign said quit olaim deed when the purchase price and all
accrned interest thereon has been paid in full.
It was moved by Commissioner Henson that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Commissioner Masters. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
Under the head of New Business,-
It appearing that all bonds issued on L.LD. No. 90 have been paid, with the exception of $37.10 on bond
No. 13; and it further appearing that it was the best interest of the city that this amount should be
paid and the district account closed. Therefore, the Commission instructed the City Treasurer to transfer
the sum of $37.10 from the L.LD. Revolving Fund to L.LD. No. 90 for the purpose of paying off the
balance due on bond No. 13 and close the district account.
The following resignation of Fred P. Henson, Commissioner of I inance, was read:

Gentlemen:
I hereby tender my resignation as City Commissioner to become effective June 20, 1939. My
association with the Commission has been pleasant and it is with regret that I make this move.

It waS moved by Commissioner Masters that the resignation be accepted. Seconded by N.ayor Davis. On roll
call Mayor Davis and CoJll!llissioner Masters voted aye. Ths Mayor declared the motion carried.
Commissioner Masters then submitted the appointment of J. Lyle Beam to serve as Commissioner of Finance
for the balance of the teI'ljl.. It was moved by Mayor Davis that the appointment be confirmed. Seconded
by Commissioner Masters. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
