Roll Call ~I revealed the following officers present: !'-ayor Epperson, Commissioners Steele and Johnson, Attorney Viilson I and Clerk Law. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. 'I , The Jond for Angeles Sand and Gravel Co. to furnish stockpile material was approved and the contract signed. I Under the head of new business a petition signed by employees of the Street and Water Departments reqUestinJ a t30.00 per month salary increase July 1, 1946, was presented to the Commission, and Commissioner Steele I I suggested that a meeting be held with said employees Friday morning at 8:00 A.~. regarding the said petition. Ion motion by Commiseioner Johnson, the petition was filed for i'urther consideration. I A letter from the Planning Council recommending the zoning of certain areas was read and ordered filed until I a map could be secured to trace the proposed areas. I I 1 i! Under the head of reading and passage of ordinances, the following passed third and final reading and was finally adopted: ORDINANCE NO. 1165 AN ORDINANCE, setting forth an emergenoy affecting the PORT ANGELES PUBLIC LIBRARY, requJ.nng expenditures unforeseen, providing for the issuance of emergency warrants, declaring an emergency making tW.s Ordinance ; effective immediately. It was moved by Commissioner Johnson that the foregoing ordinance be passed third and final reading and adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Steele. All voted Aye. ~otion carried. Under the head of introduction and readir.g of ordinances, the following was introduced, and passed first second reading: I ORDINA teE NO. 1166 I AN ORDINANCE designating certain employees of the City of Port Angeles and fixing the monthly salaries of certain officers and employees of said City. .II It was moved by COllmlissioner Johnson that the foregoing ordinance be passed first and second reading. I Seconded by Kayor Epperson. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
