The Commission met in regular session at 10 a.m. and TIas called to order by Mayor Davis. Roll call showed the following officers present. J.Iayor Davis, Commissioners Beam and Filiop, Attorney Plummer and Clerk Hawkins. l The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Under the head of applications for building permi ts and licenses; tlrer, fal"lovli<hg-were gra. ted pay'N Takit, To sell beer and wine to July 1st. 1933 2.92/ ~ws.O.E.Vfuite, to oonstruot stand at the foot of Linooln street $150.00 Under the head of !few Business,- A oommunioation from the American Legion was read requesting the exclusive rights to all ooncessions for the Fourth of July oelebration to be held oommencing at noon July 1st. and ending at midnight Euly 4th.,1933. And the privilege of using Oak Street from First S~reet to Front Street and a space about l~~ west of of the interseotion of Front and Oak Streets for the same period;also the exclusive use of Front Street from Laurel to Oak Street from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on July 4th.for the use of sport events,- It was moved by Mayor Davis that the above request of the American Legion for the 4th. of July Celebration be granted. Seconded by Commissioner Filion. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Under the Head of introduction of Ordinances the following Ordinance was introduced and placed on its First reading,- AN ORDINANCE Providing for the licensing and regulation of the manufacture,distribution and sale of beer and wine for the purpose of regulation and of revenue; Providing for the suspension and revocation of lioenses; Defining offenses against the said ordinance and providing penalties for the violation thereof; Repealing Ordinance ~0.985 and declaring an emergency. Under the head of new business the following Resolution was introduced,- RESOLUTION TO SELL PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY FORECLOSURE \~REAS,The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real estate, to wit,- North 120 feet of Lot Twenty-two (22),Blook Sixty-five (65),of Puget Sound Co-operative Colony's Subdivision of Suburban Lot Twenty-three (23) of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, whioh said property was aoquired by the foreclosure of delinquent 100801 improvement assessments under the provisions of Chap.275 Session Laws of 1927,and, ~HEREAS,one Bertha McCormiok has made an offer to purchase said property for the sum of Thirty-eight and NO/100 (::~38,OO) dollars payable in oash on delivery of deed,and, VmEREAS,the City Commission has viewed the said property and that the offer is fair value and ~quals the amount of delinquent improvement assessments. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,That the said offer be accepted and that the oity sell the said property to the purohaser for the sum herein set forth subjeot any other valid. liens thereon;that the City Attorney be instruoted to prepare a deed oonveying the property to the purohaser and that the City Treasurer be authorized to exeoute the said deed in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of Chapter 275,Session Laws of 1927, and that the same be delivered to the purchaser upon reoeipt of the purohase prioe. It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the foregoing resolution be adopted,Seconded by Commissiuner Filion. On roll oall all members voted aye. The Hayor deolared the motion oarried.
