Tho Com,nissicn met in regular session at 10:00 and was called to order by Mayor Beetle. Roll call showed the following officers present: Mayor Beetle, Gomrr~ssioners Beam and Lind, Attorney Cor~iff and Cle rk Hawkins. The minutes of the previous Session were read and approved . Under the head of Applications for Building Fcrmits and Licenses the following were granted: Church of the Nazarene, remodel roof, Lot 12, Block 25, N. R. Smith's Subd. Pete P. U. Nelson, Build House, Lot 6, Block 4, Cain's Subd. of Lot 18, Townsite Mrs. Chas. Sulis, Build Shed, Sub. Lot 54, Townsite Dan Hurley, Alteration of Building, Lot 16, Block 4, Cain's "ubd. of Lot 21, Tovmsite W. E. Wilcox, 1 Barbe r Chair Rose's Place, Restaurant " II 1 Music Ma chine , Soft Drink Essen Rooms J Rooming House, 12 Rooms 250.00 5500.00 100 .00 450.00 1.00 12.00 12.00 5.00 12.00 Under the head of New Business: A. Jay Clark having assigned all his right, title and interest in and to Lots 19 and 20, Block 501, 'l'ownsite of Fort Angeles, to George Roland, requested in writing that when the contract of sale io com- pleted, the deed to said property be issued to George Rowland. The sale of the above described property was, authorized by resolution dated October 22, 1941, and recorded in Vol. 20 of Commissioners' Proceedings on page 544. There being no objection, the City Clerk was instructed to issue the deed to siad property to George Rowland as requested, when all the terms of the sale are completed. Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following were introduced: RESOlUTION FOR IMPROVEMENT OF THE INTERSECTION OF 4TH AND LINCOLN STREETS PROVIDING FOR Ttl E IMPROVEMENT OF THE INTERSECTION OF FOURTH A lID LINCOLN STREETS FROM THE SOUTH MARGIN OF FOURTH STREET TO THE NORTH MARGIN OF FOURTH STREET, RESOLVED, That the City of Port Angeles pave the intersection of Fourth and Lincoln Streets from the North margin of Fourth Street to the South margin of Fourth Street with a one course Portland Cement concrete pavement, according to the Standard Spe~ifications of the State of Washington,llepartment of Highways, adopted January, 1941. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED. 'lhe cost of said improvement be paid out of the .city Street Fund as provided for in Chapter 187 of the Laws of 1957 and out of any other fund, or funds that may be available for that pur- pose. It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried, RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the onwer of the following described real property, having acquired the same by Treasurer's deed dated June 22, 1942, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9395 of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145, 9f the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-wit: Lot Seven (7), Block Five, (5), Puger 130und Co-operative Colony's Subdivision of the Townsite of Port ..Angeles, "/f.T., and WHEREAS, Genevieve C. Culley has offered to purchase from the ~ity of Port Angeles the ahove described real property for the sum of $160 .00, and WHEREAS, the City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and is in excess of the amount paid by the City for said property, plus all L.I.D. assessments, including interest and other charges against the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOlVED, that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the' said property at private sale to the said Genevieve C. t:ulley for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject I to any valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed con- veying said prope rty to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be, and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port klgeles be, and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued interest thereon has been paid in full. It was moved by Commissioner Lind that the foregoing resolution be approved a~d adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Beam. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Under the head of Reading and Passage of Ordinanoes the following ordinance passed its third reading and was finally adopted: AN ORDINANCE vacating that portion of the alley in Block Three Hundred Eighty-nine (589) of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Clallam County, Washington, upon which Lots Six (6) to Ten (10) inclusive and Eleven (ll) to Fifteen (15) inclusive, abut, said block being abounded by the following Streets, 13th, 14th, Cherry and Valley. It was moved by Commissioner Lind that the foregoing ordinance be placed on its final reading and adopted. Secomed by Commissioner Beam. On roll call all members voted aye.
