II contract between the City Light Department and Radio Sta tion KOlIP was discussed by the Commission, and it Was moved by Commissioner Steele that the City Light Department sign contract for three months beginning july 1st, for 15 minutes radio tire every .~dnesday at 7:00 P.l:. for $24.00 per month. Seconded by Mayor ~pperson. All voted Aye. Motion carried. I f;ommissioner Johnson discussed the petition to open lower Pine Hill to J!arine Drive be necessary to rebuild or close existing ramp, and that estimates for construction ~rade to be too steep and the cost very high. ~ Under the head of reading and passage of ordinances the following passed third and final reading and was ropted. AN ORDINAJ>::E designating certain employees of the City of Port Angeles and fixing the monthly salaries of certain officers and employees of said City. I It was moved by Commissioner Johnson that the foregoing ordinance be approved and adopted. Seconded by Commis sioner Steele. All members voted Aye. !.lotion carried. Lnder the head of introduction of resolutions for the sale of real property by the City, the following were I introduced: L IJ. It was moved byj,:ayor Epperson that bids be called for the purchase of a three- ."heeled motorcycle by the police cjepartment. Seconded by Conunis sioner Johnson. All members voted Aye. Eotion carried. The I.layor also read a letter from the Transportation Club regarding the inforcement of parking meters. William Wenner presanted a petition to the Commission which wes signed by property, ovmers near Front. and Race Streets, requesting the Conunission not to approve perm~t tD construct or establish a cabinet shop or other rommercial enterprise at said location. After some discussion, the patition was ordered filed for further considera tion.
