Roll call showed the fOllowing officers present: Mayor Robinson, Commissioners Beam and Masters, Attorney Johnston and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Harbor Tavern, 1 Shamrock Tavern, Restaurant Rose's Place, The Marina, Shamrock Tavern, Soft Drink Rose's Place, n " The Marina, Harbor Tavern, Crystal Bath House, Bath House License 100.00 2500.00 48.00 v 48.00 / 48.00 F 24.00 . 72.00' 12.00 12.00 12.00 12.00 12.00 12.00 5.00 5.00 5.00 5.00 25.00 n Under the head of Unfinished Business: The Clerk reported that pursuant to the call for bids to do the City printing for the year ending June W, i 1944, one bid was filed as follows: Port Angeles, Washington June 29, 1945 City Commissioners Port Angeles, Washington Gentlemen: Pursuant to published call, we submit the following as our bid on the City printing for the year 1945-1944: Seven cents (7~) per nonpareil line, single column measure. Tabulated matter also at seven cents (7~) per line, single column measure, for each insertion unless published only one time, in which case the rate will be twelve cents (120 per line, single column measure. We will file a good and sufficient bond in the event of our bid being accepted. PCRT ANGE,LFll EVENING NEWS (Signed) John Schweitzer, Business Manager. It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the bid of the Port Angeles Evening News to do the City printing, be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be instructed to sign a contract with said paper upon the filing of a bond, approved by the City ~ttorney, in the sum of $1000.00. Seconded by Mayor "Robinson. On roll call. all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolutions were introduced: RESOLUTIONS WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having ac~uired the same by Treasurer's deed dated April 29, 1941, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9595 of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-wit: Lots Five (5) and Six (6) of Perkins' Subdivision of Lot No. 52, Port Angeles, Clallam County, Washington. WHEREAS, o. H. Winters has offered to purchase the above described real property from the Cit:\' of Port Angeles for the sumof $ISO.CO, payable as folJews: $50.00 as a down pa;yment and tlO.OO on or before the 25rd day of July, 1945, and $10.00 on or before the ~5rd day of each and every month thereafter until paid in full; interest to be cimputed on monthly balances at the rate of 7% per annum and paid with the monthly installments, and WHEREAS; The City COllUlissicn has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and that at this time it is to the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and the sale made. I NOW, THER~FORE, BE IT RFll01VED, that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sel~ the I said property at private sale to the said O. R. Winters for the SUlll hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid liens against the same; the t the Ciry Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit ola:im deed con- veying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of Port Angeles be, and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and thHt the Mayor of said City of Port Angeles be, and he is hereby insttucted to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued interest thereon has been paid in full. It was moved by Mayor Robinson that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Masters. On roll call all members vobed aye. The lIayo r declared the motion carried. RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired the sane by Treasurer's deed dated June <2, 1943, under and by virtue of the autjority of Section 9393 ... 540 Proceedings of the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles, Washington June ~O, 1945 19_ nr.... MU",,^V, "'TTU"..T""_-""', ."'''"~., IlIl~OO of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 365, to-wit, Lots Six (6) and Seven (7), Block Four Hundred l'welve (41<.) of the Townsite of Port Angeles, I:lsllam County, Washington, and WHEREAS, W. E. Wilcox has offered to purchase the above described real property from the City of Port Angeles for the sum of $70.00, and WHEREAS, The City Conunission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and at this time it is the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and the s ale made. NO'll, THEREFORE, BE IT RESctVED, that the said offer be accepted and that the CHy of Port Angeles sell the said property at private sale to the said W. E. "ilcox for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid'liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchasers, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port AngeJe s be and he is hereby instructed to COlUltersign said quit claim deed. It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Mayor Robinson. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. " I I , BE IT RESOLVED by this Commission that the use of the streets and roads, or parts thereof, as described I in said agreement be and hereby are granted to the United States upon terms therein named; and the Mayor of Port lAngeles is authorized and directed to execute and deliver said license for and on behalf of this I Board. I It was moved by Commissioner !llIsters that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by \ Mayor Robinson. On roll call all members voted aye.
