""'400 The Camn~ssion met in regular session at 10 A .Il. and was called to order by Mayor Robinson. Roll call showed tne following officere present: Mayor Robinson, Commiseioners Beam an:! Masters Attorney Johnston and Clerk Ha1dcins. ' , The minutes of the previous eession were read and approved. Under the head of Applications for Building Permits and Licenses the following were granted: 'H. E. Simpson, Build Garage and Repair Building, Lot 13, Block 33, Townsite J. W. GUARANTY INVESTMENT FUND City Treasurer I I I I I Proceedings of the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles, Washington July 7, 1943 19_ 543"'lll '., Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the fcllowing resolution was introduced: RESCIL UTION I WHEREAS, the Public Roads Administration, Federal Works Agency, has presented an agreement to be approved and executed by the Gj, ty of Port Angeles, providing under the provisione of Section 6 of the Defense Highway, Act of 1941, for the maintenance of a portion of the Cemetery Road, approximately 1.8 miles in length inside the City of Port Angeles, designated as'Washington Project DA-WR-57 and certified to the Federal Works Administration by the Secretary of War as essential to t he National Defense. The Federel Government agreeing under the terms and regulations set forth in said agreement to pay the costs of maintenance cf said Cemetery, up to and not exceeding '$900.00. ' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said agrement be approved and executed by the City Canmission and that the 7 copies so executed be forwarded to the Federal Works Agency, Public Roads Administration, District One, Post Q'ffice Building, Portland, Oregon. I It was moved by Commissioner JI.esters that tha foregoing resolution be approved and sdopted. Seconded by Mayor Robinson. On roll call all members voted ~ye. The Mayor declared ths moticn carried.
