Roll call shpwed the following officers present: !Jayor Beetle, Commissioners Beam and Lind, Attorney Conniff and Clerk Hawkins. Under the head of Applicatinns for Building Permits and Licenses the following were granted: Louis Johnson, Addition to Building, Lot 18, Block 193, Townsite Gus Stroh, Move House, Lot 2, Block 337, Townsite Dew Drop Inn, 2 mrnusement Game Machines Zood's Street Shop, 2 Amusement Game Machines Shamrock Tavern, 2 11 Rayonier Cafe, 2 Annex Tavern" 2 Rose's Place, 2 Rhebeck's Den, 2 Palace of Sweets, 3 Hotel Pershing, Hotel, 16 Rooms Shamrock Tavern, 1 Music Machine Rayonier Cafe, Restaurant Annex Tavern, Hotel, 26 rooms · " Soft Drink Hestaurant , 1 Music Machine Palace of Sweets, Sof~ Drink It It n, 1 Music Machine James RJ Fredericks J Master Electrician Annex Tavern, Hotel, 20 rooms for year ending June 30, 1942 11 "Soft Drink for year ending June 30, 1942 325.00 350.00 48.00 48.00 48.00 48.00 48.00 48.00 48.00 72 .00 16.00 12.00 12.00 20.00 5.00 12.00 12.00 5.00 12.00 10.00 20.00 5.00 Unde the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolution was introduced: RESOLUTION TO SELL PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY FORECLIDSURE WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described property in the City of Port Angeles, to-wit: The West five feet of Lot Sixteen (16), Block Two Hundred Twenty-two (222), Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, and which said property has been acquired by the City on foreclosure of delinquent local improvement assess- ments under Chapter 205 of the Session Laws of 1927, and WHEREAS, Frank E. Robideau has offered to purchase the above described real property from the City of Port Angeles for thc surr. of $13.42, and WHEREAS, the City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and is in excess of the amount paid by the City for said property, plus all L.I.D. aesessments, including interest and other charges against the same, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IR RESOLVED, that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the said property at private sale to the said Frank E. Robideau for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any valid liens against ths same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a deed conveying said property to the purchaser and the City Treasurer be authorized to execute the said deed in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and Chapter 275, Session Laws of 1927 wnen the purchase price and all accrued interest thereon has been paid in full. It was moved by Commissioner Beam that ths foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Com~issioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Under the head of Unfinished Business: The City Clerk reported that pursuant to the call for bids to do the City printing for the year ending June 30, 1942, one bid was on.file as follows: July 7, 1942 Ci ty C6mmis si oners Port Angeles, Washington Gentlemen, Pursuant to published call, we submit the following as oUr bid on ths City Printing for the year 1942-1943: Seven cents (7~) per nonpareil line, single column measure. Tabulated m"tter also at seven cents (7~) per lins, single column measure, for each insertion unless published only one time, in which case the rate will be twelve cents (12~) per line, sindle column measure. We will file a' good and sufficient bond in the event of our bid being accepted. PORT ANGELES EVENING NEWS John Schweitzer, Mgr. It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the bid of the Port 1lngelcs Evening News for doing the City printing be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be instructed to sign a contract with said paper upon the filing of a bond in the sum of $1000.00 approved by the City Attorney. Seconded by Commissioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
