The Commission also authorized payment of the first monthly estimate for June, 530 cubic ;rards of mineral aggregate, Seal Rock, furnished by the ''''geles Gravel & Supply Co., the amount being ~1,330.56. The bid by :/ray &. Raber to furnish Police Department one 3ervi-car for ;;;S29.45 was approved by the Conunission. Under the head of new business, the Commission authorized bids to be called for I non-Rkid single seal treatment, streets to be included es follows: Laurel, Oak, I and Cherry Streets from South rr.argin of Eighth Street to Lauridsen Boulevard, ; and Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh, Twelfth, Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Streets from Lincoln Street to break in Valley Gulch. I Light Superintendent Lean presented a petition signed by property owners requesting installation of a street light on "e" Street between Fifth and Sixth Streets at I entrace of alley. Sid Tozier, heading a delegation representing the Chamber of Commerce, appeared oefore the Commission regarding the moving of 'lIest Third Street extension to follow at foot of hill to Fibreboard. Comraissioner Johnson pointed out two obstacles, first to secure right of TIay from ~ilwaukee Railroad, and second, to I get available funds. After lengthy discussion, it was agreed that the Commission' vrould get estimate of filling and construction of street. Information to be I and Engineering department ,availaole at next session.
