The Commission met pursuant to adjournment at 10 a.m. and was oalled to order by
Mayor Davis. Roll oall showed the following offioers present: Mayor Davis, Commission-
ers Lutz and Masters, Attorney Conniff and ~lerk Hawkins.
Under the head of Introduotion of Resolutions the following Resolutions were introduoed:
RESOLUTION
ADOPTING STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION
OF SECONDARY HIGHWAYS IN THE CITY IDF PORT ANGELES
RESOLVED, That the City of Port Angeles hereby adopts as its standard speoifioations
for all oonstruotion on seoondary highways in the Bity of Port Angeles the standard
speoifioations of the'State of Washington, Department of Highways of 1935, adopted by
the State of Washington, Department of Highways, April 1935, and approved by the
Uni ted States Bureau of Publio Roads.
It was moved by Commissione r Masters that the foregoing resolution be approved and
adopted. Seoonded by Commissioner Lutz. On roll oall all members voted aye. The
Mayor deolared the motion oarried.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The City Commission of the City of Port Angeles is desirous of doing all
within its power to improve radio reoeption conditions in the City of Port Angeles, and
WHEREAS, steps have already been taken to solve in a soientifio manner, as far as
possible, the general conditions prevailing in the City of Port Angeles affeoting
radio reoeption, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion and belief of the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles,
bassd upon expert advioe, that looal oonditions affecting in a harmful way radio reoept-
ion oan only be remedied by having a oomplete survey made of the City and of the houses
and plaoes of business therein with an idea of looating the individual oauses of looal
radio interference;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles
hereby authorizes the employment of a radio interierenoe expert to make suoh a survey
at a salary to be hereafter fixed by the Cit~'Commisslon of the City of Port Angeles.
It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing resolution be approved and
adopted. Seoonded by Commissioner Lutz. On roll oall all members voted aye. The
Mayor deolared the motion carried.
Under the head of New Business,-
It appearing that Light Fund Warrant No. 11839, for ~16.75, issued to the Burroughs
Adding Machine Company, had [:e.en lost and cannot be produced by the said Company, and
it appearing further that the said company had made application to have a duplioate
warrant:l:ssued in lieu of said lost warrant No. 11839, and had filed a good and
sufficient bond, duly approved by the City Attorney, to protect the City from loss on
account of issuing the said duplicate warrant. The Commission therefore, approved the
bond and instructed the City Clerk to issue a duplicate warrant in the sum o~ $16.75
to the Burroughs Adding N~chine ~ompany in lieu Of Light Fund Warrant NO. 11839.
There being no further business the Commission then ad~ourned.
