The Commission met in regular Session at 10 A.~. and was called to order by Mayor Epperson. Roll call showed the following officers present: Eayor Epperson, COllllllissioners Steele and Johnson, Attorney Wilson and Clerk Law. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Seconded by Commissioner Johnson. All members voted Aye. J,'otion carried. !iThe City Treasurer notified the Commission in writing that the contract of Glen R. Gibscn for Lot 13, 310ck 1 of Hartt & Cook's Subdivision is delinquent, as no payments have been received since Oct. 8, 1943, : and recommended that said, contract be cancelled. It was moved by COll'missioner Steele that the recor.L~endaticll be accopted and the contract cancelled. Seconded qy Commissioner Johnson. All voted Aye. kotion carried. I Er. Henry Davies appeared before the Commission regarding Third Street fill, and it "as moved qy Commiss,ioner Steele that the City enter into an agreement ydth the Port of Port Ar~eles to fiJ~ a ten foot strip parallel' with l.arine Drive trestle at the approximate cost of ~1,500.oo. Seconded by Commissioner Johnson. All voted Aye. ~otion carried. ,City Engineer Dodge recoIT;llended that the Conmlission consO-cer the petition previously filed to set up :,Improvement District for the construction of side walks and cur~s, and suggested that the district include "the property south of Eighth Street to Boulevard and East of Lincoln Street to break of Peabody Gulch. The Commission agreed to rr,ake personal inspection of said district after adjournment, and it Ylas moved by Commissioner Johnson that the recommendation of Lr. Dodge be accepted. Seconded by Commissioner Steele. All members voted Aye. Eotion carried. 'I ,~nder the head of reading and passage of Ordinances, the following passed second reading: 1 ORDINANCE NO. 1167 AN ORDINANCE to regulate and restrict the location and use of buildings and the use of land within the City of Port Angeles; to limit the heighth of buildings to prescribed building lines and the size of yards; and for these purposes to divide the City into districts; provide penalties aDd repeal any ordinances in conflict herewith. It was moved by Co",,",issioner Johnson that the foregoing Ordinance be passed second reading. ;~!ayor Epperson. All voted Aye. ~:otion carried. Seconded by I I 'I ORDHlANCE NO. 1168 'I' IAN ORDIIiANCE relating to an assignment by Cres:E!Jlt Logging Company to noreboard Products, Inc., of a lease : I~nd sub-lease dated December 1924, made by the City of Port Arlgeles to lIinemire Lumber Company and previously assigned by llinemire LUr.Jber Company to Crescent Logging Company, consenting to said assignment and ratifying I and approving said sub-lease as modified and assigned.
