Roll call sh01l'Bd the following officers present : Mayor Robinson, Commissioners Beam and Masters, Attorney Johnston and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Under the head of applications for building permits and licenses the following were granted: A. Pinto, build close closet, lot 12, blk. 92, Townsite Minor O. Under the bllad. of' Intrdduction'Of Resolutions, !'t;lle.oJ)ol!ow:lmg r.esoluti:1on ...as introduced: RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having ac- quited the same by Treasurer's deed dated July 25, 1944, under and.by virtue of the authority of Section 9595 of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-wit: tot Eighteen (18), Block Three (5), Hartt and Cook Subdivision of Suburban mock 551 of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, and WHEREAS, Donald M. Schell has offered to purchase the above described real property from the City of Port Angeles for the sum of 'ZOO.OO, and WHEREAS, the City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and that at this time it is to the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and sale made. NOW, THEREBORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the aaid offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the aaid property at private sllle to the said Donald ll. Schell, for the SUlll hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid liens age inst the samel that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quitclaim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed. It was. moved by ~mmi8sioners Maaters that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Beam. On Roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. The East half (i) of the I Southeast qUarter (t) of the Southwest quarter (t), Section 5, Township ~9 North, Range 5 West W. M. of unimproved land, more or lese. Two (~) 'Covering the following described land lying inside the Port Angeles water Shed and controlled by the city of Port Angeles, to-wit: All of Section seventeen (17), exce!t the East half (~) of the Northeast quarter (i), and'the Northwest quarter,a) of the Northwaet quarter (i 1 and the Northeast quarter (~) of I the Northwest quarter (i). Also, the East half (t) of the East half ( ) of the Southeast quarter (i) of Section eighteen (18), Township twenty-nine (~9) North, Range five (5 ) West, W. M., ClaHam County, Stat, I of Waahingtonl containing five hundred twenty (5~O) acres, more or less, of unilliprol',d land. To be used I for a combat range. I I I It appesring that tha Federal Government has no further need or use for the above described property and that the Olympic National Park has cancelled and set aaide the permit on all that property described above in No.2. Tbe said property being a part of the said Olympic National Park. It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the action of the Olympic Rational Park in cancelling the permit cov9ring tha proporty described in No. 2 above be and the same is hereby concurred in, by the City of Port Angeles. Seconded by Commissioner Masters. On foll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
