Roll call showed the following officers jXesent: Mayor Robinson, Commissioners Beam an:! Masters, A ttomey Johnston and The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Sorenson, Addition to Garage, Lot 12, Block 291, Townsite ] Phil White, Remodel Dwelling, Lot 2, Block 2, Williams & Cramer SuM. P. O'Day, Utilities Accountant, for a leave of absence to enter the Army Transport Service for the duration of the war came before the Collllllission. After due consideratLon the request was granted. I Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolution was introduced, RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The United States has requested the use of a 20-foot strip across unopened t1Q" Street an:! a por- i tion of Ocean View Cemetery tract for a sewer line from Port angelee Airdrome to the brink of a amyon about 400 feet westerly of said "Q" Street, at which point a cesspool or septic tank has been constructed, and from which point the discharge from such tank flows down said canyon wall to an existing water cours.. and thence into the Strait of Juan de Fuca, all as specifically set forth in a License Agreement attaehed tothis resolution and made part thereof. NOl'I THEREFORE, in futherance of National Defense, BE IT Rli'.SOLVED by this Commission that a license for such crossings and use, as described insaid license, be lilld hereby is granted to the United States upon the terms therein named; and the !layor is authorized and directed to execute and deliver such license for and on behalf of 1I1is Beard. It was moved by Commisssioner Masters that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Beam. On roll call all members voted eye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
