The Commission met in regular session at 10 0 I clock a .m. and was called to order by Mayor Robinson. Roll
call shOll'ed the following officers present: !.Iayor Robinson, Commissioners Beam and !.lasters, AttorneY. John-
ston and Clerk Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of applUations for building permits and licenses, the following were granted,-'

July, 1944. Report ordered filed.
Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions, the following resolutions were introduced.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Local Improvement Guarantee Fund of the City of Port Angeles owns the following described 1
" rsal estate, having acquired the same by Treasurer's Deed dated June 14th, 1944, under the provisions of
Section 9383, R. R. 5., described as follows, to-wit:
Lots One (1), Two (2), Three (5), and
Four (4) in Block One hundred fifty-two (152) of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington.
WHEREAS the local improvement and taxes, interest and other charges against said proF" rty is the sum
, of Two hundred seventeen dollars and forty-six cents ($217.46).
WHEREAS the City Commissioners of the City of Port Angeles have viewed the aaid property and are of
the opinion that said property should be retained by the City and devoted to park purposes, and that the
Park FUnd has ample money with which to reimburse the Local Improvemetn GIlaraneee Fund for the sum referred,
to, and that the prep!! rty is reasonably worth the sum of 'lYo hundred seventeen dollars and forty-six cents
I' (1217,46), and no more, and that it is to the advantage of !ll1.id City snd the residents thereof that said ,
, property be devoted to park purposes and not be resold, and that the Park Fund should reimburse the Lo cal I
. Improvement Guarantee Fund, as provided by Section 9283 R. R. S. and that the City should hold said properw
, in its propriety capacity.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles, that there be trans-
ferred from the Park Fund to the Local Improvement Guarantee Fund the sum of Two hundred seventeen dollars
, and forty-six cents (t2l7.46), and that said Lots be withdrawn from sale and hereafter devoted to public
park purposes and owned by the City in its propriety capacity.
,. It was moved by Commissicner Masters that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded tr,y
Commissioner Beam. On Roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Port .~ngeles is desirous of having certain streets painted with traffic stripes.
AND WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles does not have the necessary equipment to do the said painting.

NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Director of Highways is hereby authorized to perform the saidl
f work, estimated to be 5 miles in length at an estimated cost of $200.00 and the State Traasurer be and he I
I is hereby authorized and requested to transfer the cost of said work from the funds credited or to be cre-
I dited in the motor vehicle fund to the City of Port Angeles to the proper State Highway Fund to reimburse
1 said fund for the expenditure above referred to.
, It was moved by Mayor Robinson that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Commis-
sioner BeSll. On Roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS on the 25th of March, 1940, the City Treasurer, under Local Improvement Aseessment Deed, re-
corded in Volume 156 on Page 571, included the following described property, to-wit:
Lot Kleven (11), Block Fourteen (14) Puget Sound Cooperative Colcny's Subdivision of the Town-
site cf Port ~ngeles.
WHEREAS at the time of the execution of said Deed and at the time of the foreclosure of the Local Im-
provement Assessments, the City of Port Angeles had no valid lien againet said real estate, andthe said
property was included in the deed abbve mentioned, by typographical error.

NOH THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the. City Commission that the City Treasurer be and she is heretr,y auth~
rized and directed to execute a Quit-Glaim Deed conveying all interest in the seid property to the wwner, \

! RESOWTION
I WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described rea~ property, having ac-'
I quited the same by Treasurer's deed, dated July 28, 1944, under and by virtue of the authority of section
. 9393 of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143 of the laws of 1929, pagc 565, to-wits
Lot Three (3), Blcck One Hundred Ten (110), of E. C. Baker's Subdivision of Suburban Lot No. 19,
of the Townsits of Port Angeles, washington, and
WHEREAS, Edward Ahlskog has offered to purchase the above described real property from the. City of
Port Angeles for the sum of $1;;5.00, and
IiIlEREAS, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is far
valulf.and at this time it is the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and the sale made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said offer be accepted end that the City of Port Angeles sell
the said proptrrty at private sale to the said Edward Ahlskog for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject -to ;
any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed i
conveying said property to the purchasers; and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he 'I
is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be end,
he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued interest
thereon has been paid in full. - . ~ II
It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foreoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
