The Commission met in regular session at 10:00 A .M. am was called to order by Mayor Beetle. Roll call
showed the following officers present: Mayor Beetle, Commissioner Lind, attorney Conniff and Clerk
Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of i1.pplications for Building Permits and Licenses the following' were granted:
Dr. D. E. McGillivray, Remodel Building, Lot 6, Block 31, N. R. Smith Subd.
Joe Sparks, Shingle Home, Lot 17, Block 87, Townsite
Wm. Gorsegnor, Build Store, Lot 17, Block 21, fownsite
Olympus Fountain, Soft Drinks

Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolution was introduced:

WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired
the same by Treasurer's deed dated June 10, 1940, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9593 of
Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws of 1929, page 365, to-wit:
Lot Eleven (ll), Block One (1) of Hartt & Cookes Subdivision of Suburban Block
No. 31 of the Townsite of Port !Angeles, and
WHEREAS, J. D. McDonald has offered to purchase the above described real property from the City of Port
Angeles for the sum of $150.00, payable as follows: $20.00 as a down payment and lI10.00 on or before the
5th day of September, 1940, and $10.00 on or before the 5th day of each and every month thereafter until
paid in full. Interest at the rate of 7% per annum to be computed on the balance due and paid with the
monthly installment, and
WHEREAS, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the said offer is fair
value and that at this time it is to the best interest of the ~ity that it should be accepted and the
sa~e made,
NOW.. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the said offer be accepted and that the Cfity of Port Angeles sell
the said property at private sale to the said J. D. McDonald for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject
to any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim
deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and
he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port i1.ngeles be
and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued
interest thereon has been paid in full.
The Commission examined am allowed the following claims and ordered warrants drawn for same:
It was moved by Commissioner Lind that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Mayor Beetle. On roll call all members voted aye. Thw Mayor declared the motion carried.
