The Connnission met in regular session at 10 A.M., and was called to order by Mayor Robinson. Roll call
showed the following officers preeent: Mayor Robinson, Commissioners Beam & Masters, and Clerk Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.

WHER~S, the City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described property, having acquired the same
by Treasurer's deed dated April, 18, 1945, under and b.r virtue of the au~hority of Section 9595 of Remingto~'B
Re~sed Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Lawsoof 1929, page 565, to-wit:

Lot Seventeen (17), Block Eleven (11), Puget Sound Co-Operative Colony'S SUbdivision
of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, and

WHEREAS, Henry J. Olmmings has offered to' purchase the above described real property from the City of Port '
Angeles for the sum of $200.00, payable as follows: $20.00 as a down payment and $10.00 on or before the 6th
day of September, 1945, and $10.00 on or before the 6th day of each and every month thereafter until paid in
, full, interest to be computed at the rate of 7% per annum on the balance due and paid with the monthly
, installme nt s, and
WHEREAS, the City Connnission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair valudl
and is in excess of the amount paid b.r the City for said property, plus all L.I.D. assessments, including
'I all 'interest and other charges against the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said offer be accepted an:! that the City of Port Angeles sell the
said property at private sale to the said Henry J. Cummings, for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to I
any ,other valid liens against the same; that the City li:ttorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed ;
conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be, and he isl
I hereby instructed to execute said quit calim deed, an:! that the Mayor of said City of Port Angeles be an:l he ,'I
is hereby instructed to countersign said quit calim deed, when the purchase price and all accrued interest
thereon has been paid in full.

and "that at this time it is to the beet interest of the City that ,it should lle aocepted and the sale made. 'I
NOO; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the
said property at private sale to the said Marl< Leetham for the sum hereinabove s~t forth, subject to any otlillr
valid liens against the eame; that the City Attorney be inetI"l1cted to prepare "a quit claim deed conveying 'I

Comn,issioner Beam. On roll call, all members voted J\:ye. The Mayor dec~red the motion'.c,arried.
Under the head of introduction of Ordinances, the following Ordinance was introduced, and passed its first
I and 'second reading:
An Ordinance amending Section 16 of Ordinance No. 1020, as amended by Section 4 of Ordinance No. 1087,
entitled,"An Ord1nance relating to the use of the streets ef the City of Port Angeles, providing for
designation of special restricted zones, etc." and declaring an emergency.
A petition signed by Lester Hulse and others, asking the Commission to repeal meat inspection Ordinance NO.
1083, and adopt an Ordinance that will fit the existing conditions, was read before the Commission.
After listening to various persons discuss the petition, the matter VIas laid over for further consideration.
