Roll call of 'revealed the following present: Mayor Epperson, Connnissiorers Johnson and Steele, and Clerk Law. I:The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Master Plumber Gladys Ninemire One Beauty Chair The report of Police Judge Taylor for the month of Jul,', being $1,581.00, \Vas approved by the Commission I!md ordered filed. A petition signed by property owners requesting improvement of alley between First and Second Streets from Lincoln to Chase Streets ,"",s referred to the Engineering Department. An objection to the zoning of certain property on east Columbia Street between Chambers and Jones streets was ordered filed for further consideration. 'I Engineer Dodge discussed the proposed Improvement District, and compared the cost of sidewalk and cur'o 'bonstruction with assessed valuation. It was decided that sidewalk improvement only be considered and property owners notified accordingly. :rire Chief Wolverton spoke to the Commission regarding Government surplus equipment, and it was moved by tpommissioner Steele that the fire department be authorized to purchase a seven unit piece of fire 4ghting equipnent as reconunenaed. Seconded by Mayor Epperson. All members voted Aye. Motion carried. . The Commission also authorized the purchase of a Brandt Model C. A. coin counter to be used for handling parking meter collections. II It was moved by Mayor Epperson that the foregoing Ordinance be passed first and second reading. Commissioner Johnson. All members voted Aye. Motion carried. Under the head of introduction of resolutions for the sale of real property by the City, the following was introdu ced : Willie P. Morris Lots 5-6; Blk. 39; Norman R.
