The Commission met in regular session at 10 a.m. and was called to order by Mayor Robinson. Roll call
showed the following officers present. Mayor Robinson, Commissioners Beam and Masters, ~
and Clerk Hawkins. () vV'1 -
The minutes of the previous eession were read and approvad.
Under the head of Applications for Building permits and Licenses the following were granted:

Whereas the City COJlllllission on April 21, 1943, adopted a resolutIon authorizing the
described real property to W.R.Beatty; the said resolution being recorded in Volume
Commissioner's Proceedings;
Lot Thirteen (H), Block One Hundred Thirty*two (132), of Thomas W. Carters Subdivision of
Suburban Lots Eleven (11) and Sixteen (16), of Port Angeles Townsite, and
as $175.00
Whereas, it appears that the sale price as set forth an said resolution above referred to was an error,
as the agreed price between the said H.W.Beatty, the purchaser and the City Commission was $150.00, and
Wheras, the said H.W.Beatty now desires that the resolution abovr referred to providing for the sale of
said property be recinded and that the down payment of 1120.00 mentioned in said resolution be used as
part of the down payment on the sale of said above described property to Adelbert L. Cook at the price
of flSO.OO.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said resolution hereinabove referred to be recinded and the
City Clerk be instruced to prepare a resolution authorizing the sale of said above described property
to Adelbert L. Cook for the sum of $150.00.
It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Commissioner Masters. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property,having acquired
the same by Treasurer's deed, dated April 20, 1945, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9395
of Remington'a Revessd Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws of 1929, pege 365, to-wit:
Lot Thirteen (13), Block One Hundred Thirty-two (13:1) of Thomas W. Carter's Subdivision of
Suburban Lots Eleven (11) and Sixteen (16), Port Angeles, Townsite, and:
WHEREAS, Adelbert 1. Cook has offered to purchase the above described real property from the City of
Port Angeles for the sum of $150.00, payable as follows: $80.00 as a down payment and $10.00 on or
before the 5th. day of September, 1945, and e10.00 on or before the 5th. day of each and every month
thereafter until peid in full; interest to be computed on monthly balances at the. rate of 7% per annum
andpaid with monthly installmenst9,and
nhereas, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion tr~t th~ofter is fair
value and is in exoess of the amount paid by the City for said property, plus all L.I.D. asaessments,
including interest and other charges against the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell
the said property at private,'sale to the said Adelbert L. Cook for tbe sum hereinebove set forth, subject
to any other valid liens against the same;that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit cIa ill.
deed conveying said said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles
be and he is hereby instructed to execute seid quit claim deed, end that the mayor of the City of Port
Angeles be, and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and
all accrued interest thereon has been paid infull.
It was moved by Commissioner Beam that teh foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Commissioner Masters. On roll oall all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.

under the head of New Business:
A petition signed by O. N. Lee and other milk shippers and producers asking the COJlllllission to appoint
a cOImnittee to be knOlm as a Grievance Committee to investigate complaints against regulations governing
the production and handling of dairy products.
After listening to those present representing ths petition, the matter was continued for further
consideration.
The Commission examined and allowed the following claims and ordered warrants drawn for same:

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Porl "nge les is the ovmer of the following described property, to-wit:
Lots Seven (7) and Eight (8), Block One Hundred and One (101), Townsite of
Port Angeles, WaShington, and
WHEREAS, various persons have indicated their desire to purchase said real property, and
WHEREAS, the City Cor.:misslon of the City of Port Angeles believes it advisable and for t he best intersst
of said city to sell said property for its fair value;

and the City Cle,'k be and he is hereby instructed to give notice of said sale by publishing notice thereof
in the Port Angeles Evening News two times prior to the ~Sth day of August, 194B, and on to-wit, the 20th
day of August, 1943, and the ~3rd day of August, 1943.

Comnissioner Beam. On roll call all members votsd aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
There being no further business the Commission then adjourned.
