Roll 'call revealed the followiJlg officers present: Mayor Epperson, Commissioners Steele and Johnson, and Clerk 'Law. Seconded by Commissioner Steele. All voted Aye. ,I Motion carried. 'Under the head of new business, Allen Thomas requested that the taxi stand at ftont and Lincoln streets he vacated and three cars be permitted to park at III East Front. It was moved bY Comissioner Steele that the' stand at Front snd Lincoln be vacated and the cars of City Cab and Bla ck & White, use the one stand. Seconded by Mayor Epperson. All members voted Aye. Motion carried. ,The parking problem on east 'First Street from Lincoln to Chase Streets was discussed by the Commission, , t;hether or not to install parking meters. It wss finally decided to establish one hour parking on east I First from Lincoln Street to Chase- Street. I . Under the head of introduction and reading of Ordinancas, the following was introduced and passed first a nd I' I.second reading: . " Ordinance No. 1185 AN ORDINANCE approving and confirming the assessments and assessment roll of Local Improvement District No. I '148 of the City of Port Angeles for the improvement of 8th Street from East Margin of Lincoln Street to West Margin of Race Street, 9th Street from East Margin of Lincoln Street to West Margin of Francis Street, I 10th Street from East Margin of Lincoln Street to East Margin of Eunice Street, I 11th street from East Margin of Lincoln Street to East Margin of Eunice Street, ' 12th Street from West Margin of Chase Street to West Margin of Vine Street, ! Cl1ase Street from the South Margin of 8th Street to North Margin of 12th Street, i Peabody Street from the South Margin of 8th Street to North Margin of 11th Street, 1 I; Eunice Street from the South Margin of 8th Street to North Margin of 11th Street, ,by the construction of concrete sidEm8lks on both sides of the portions of said streets, which was provided ,tor in Ordinance No. 1170, as amended by Ordinance No. 1182; levying and assessing the amounts thereof again$t the several lots, tracts and parcels of land and other property as shown in said roll; authorizing the ccl- I I~ection of such assessment, creating and establishing a special Local Improvement i\1nd for said district, and ordering that the said assessments be paid into such special fund. Davis Lot 6, Blk. 49, Townsite 400.00 I It was moved by Commissioner Steele thet the foregoing resolutions be approved and the property sold. I peconded by Mayor Epperson. All members voted Aye.
