The Commission met in Special Session at 2 p.m. and was called to order by Mayor
Davis. All members being present.
Under the head of introduction of Resolutions the following resolution was

HEVERTING TO STANDARD TIIm.
\lliEREAS, it appears that uniform time fmr this region should be observed and adopted
for the general pu~lio oonvenience and to avoid confusion in the schools,transportation
schedules, time for holding elections,including the comimg state election on Augsut 29,1933.
~IHEREAS, the city of Seattle, the nearest transportation and industrial center has
on-August G4th. passed an ordinance reverting to Standard Time on August 27,1933,and
- ;ffiEREAS, it is desirable in the interest of public convenienoe to now revert to the
same time schedule as the city of Seattle,
33 IT RESOLVED, That the Standard ~ime established for this region, to wit: Pacific
Standard Time,be adopted as the official munioipal time for the City of Port Angeles,
commencing Sunday August 27,193~,at 2 a.m. of SQid day,and the change in time to Pacifio
Standard Time shall lte accomplished by s"'ttin/l the l:unicipal clocks baok at said time,
one hour, therehy ~~ reverting t~Pacific Standard Time.
BE IT RESOLVED That the resolution relating to Daylight Saving Time, adopted May 5,
1933, in so far as it conflicts with this Resolution,be and the same is hereby amended
to conform herewith.
It was moved by Commissioner Beam that foregoing resolution be adopted. Seconded by
CommisSioner Filion. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion
carried.
There being no further business the Commission then adjourned.
