The Commission met in regular session at 10 A.M. and was called to order by Mayor Robinson. Roll call showed

City Commis s ion for the improvement and opening of Second Street on a uniform grade between Lincoln Street i
and lleabody Street. The matter was laid over until the cost of financing the irr'provement is brought before!

!WHEREAS,
RESOLUTION INSTRUCTION CALL FOR BIDS
the City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, to-wit:
North One Half of Lot Twenty (20), Block Two (2), Doyle'S Subdivision of
Suburben Lot 20, Original Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, and

~S, various persons have indicated their desire to purchase said real property, and
~EREAS, the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles believes it advisable and for the best mntBn9st of
isaid city to sell said property for its fair value.
~I TOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PGRT ANGELES that. the abov:e described I
,real property be sold at private sale, to the highest and best bidde:t:;.therefor, provided that the City
C6mmission reserve the right to reject any and all bids for said property' provided further that all bids
-lIor said property must be sealed bids, accompanied with ten per cent (10%) of the amount of the bid, and must
Ibe filed at the office of the City Clerk not later that tan o'clock A.M., September 19, 1945, IOd the City II

:Angele s Evening News two times prior to the 19th day of September, 1945. I
RESOLUTION I
WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired the
same qy Treasurer's deed dated August 23, 1945, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9393 of RenJ
ington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws of 1929, page 365, to-wit: :
Lot Seven (7) of the Subdivision of Block Three (3) of the Subdivision of
Suburban Lot Seventeen (17) of Port Angeles, Washington, and

V/lEREAS, William Joseph HollOlTay and Mabel L. Holloway, husband and wife, have offered to purchase the above
described real property from the City of Port Angeles, for the sum of $1SO.00, and .1
WHEREAS, the City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value
and that at this time it is to the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and the sale made. :1
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the I
said property at private sale to the said William Joseph Holloway and Mabel L. Holloway, hushand and wife,
for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney;
be instructed tD prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk
of'the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the II
Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed.
It .ms moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregBing resolutions be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Commissioner Beam. On roll call all members voted Aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
