The City Clerk reported that pursuant to the call for bids for placing Stone
Rubble Riprap along the existing Bulkhead between Lincoln Street and Oak Street 1
on Waterfront, one bid had been received as follows:

Bid was laid over for further consideration.
Under the head of Introduction of Ordina~ces the follo~ing ordinance was introduced,.ead in full andplaced

AN ORDINANCE relating to public health and sanitation; regulating the collection and disposal of garbage, !
refuse, trash, offal and dead animals; providing for the establishment, maintenance and operation of a com-I
pulsory system of garbage collection and disposal in the City of Port Angeles; making delinquent charges
for services perfonned a lien upon property; providing peMlties for the violation hereof; and repealing
Ordinance No. 707, passed February 16, 19:.!2; Ordinance No. 826, passed June 22, 19:.!7; and Ordinance No.
lO~l, passed September 4, 19B5, and repealing all other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict

Under the head of introduction of Resolutions the following resolution wasintroduced:
RESOJruTION
: WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real properQ', having aoquired "
the same by Treasurer's deed dated August :.!8, 1944, under and by virtue of the ~uthority of Section 9B9B
of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws of 1929, page B65, to-wit:
Lot Seven (7), Block One Hundred Twenty-eight (126), D. W. !Aorse's
Subdivision of Suburban Lot Eight (6), Port Ange12s, WashingtolO, and

'WIIEREAS, John W. Stockert has offered to purchase from the City of Port Angeles the above described real
property for the sum of $75.00, pa~'!lble as fellows: $7.50 as a down payment and $10.00 on or before Septem-
ber 20, 1944, and $10.00 on or before the 20th day of each and every month thereafter until paid in fun,
together with interest at the rate of 7% per annum on monthly balances and paid with the monthly installment,

value and that a t this time it is the best inter2st of the City that it should be accepted and the sale

IlOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Said offer be accept.ed and that the Cit.' of Port Angeles sell the said I
property at private sale to the said John W. Stockert for tho S'l!!' here;!'anove set forth, subject to an,y ,
other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed con-
veying said property to t he purchaser, 8nd that the City Clerl< of the City of .,Port illngeles be and he is
hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, ;<nd that the Mayor of the uity of Port l\ngeles be and he
is heeeby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all aocrued interest

It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing resolution be approved and a dopted. Seconded by
Gonmissioner Beam. On roll call all members voted aye. Thc Mayor declared the motion carried.
