Roll call showed the following officers present: Mayor Robinson, Commissicners Beam and Masters and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the IT evious session were read and approved. Under the head of Applications for Building Permits and Licenses the following were granted: A. E. Kirk, Remodel and add amall addition to House, Lot ~, Block 257, Townsite Salmon Club, I Music "'schine 200.00 U.OO Under the head of Introduction of Resoluticns the followir,g resolutions were introducsd: RESOLUTION Wh"EREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the fo110-.7ing described real property, having acquired the same by Treasurer's deed dated September 10, 1958, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9595 of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-wit: Lot One (1), Block ~.o Hundred Twenty-one (221) of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Clallam County J WashhgtonJ and J WHEREAS, Clifford H. Johnson and Hazel D. JohnsonJ husband and wife, pave offered to purchase the above described real property from the City of Port Angeles for the sum of $75.00J payable as follows: $7.50 as a down payment and $5.00 on or before the 15th day of September, 1945J and $5.00 on or before the 17th day of each and every month thereafter until paid in full. Interest to be computed at the rate of 7% per annum on the balance due and paid with the monthly insta~lmentJ and VlHEREAS, '.the City Commbsion hM viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and at this timG it is the best interest of the City that it should be acoepted and the sale made. NOVIJ THEREi'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the said property at private sale to the said Clifford H. Johnson and Hazel D. Johnson, husband and wife, for the Suffi hereinabove set forthJ subject to any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City CleIk of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of tha City G1>f Port Angeles be and he is hereby insturct.ed to countersign said quit claim deed when the p"<lrcllase price and all accrued interest thereon has beem paid in full. It was moved by Co~issioner Masters that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Mayor Robinson. On roll call a 11 members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, havir,g acquired the same by Treasurer's deed dated June 16, 1943, and August 18, 1943, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9395 of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of In9, page 555, to-wit: Lots Seven (7) and Eight (8), Block One Hundred One (101), Townsite of Port AogeB>, Washington, and WHEREAS, under and by the instructions of the City CommissionJ the City Clerk offered the above described property for sale by issuing a call for sealed bids for the purchase of the said property J bids to be opened August 25, 1945, at which time the bids w~re opened and it was found the bid of Glen R. Brisbin of t5l0.00 was the highest and best offer; the said amount to be paid as follows: $51.00 as a down payment. and $15.00 on or before the 17th day of September, 1945, and ~15.oo on or before the 17th day of each and every month thereafter until paid in full. Interest to be computed on monthly balances at the ra: e of 7% per annum and paid with the mpnthly installments, and WHEREAS, The City Comission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and is in excess of the amount paid b~' the City for said property, plus all L.LD. Qssessments, including interest and other charges against the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the said property at private sale to. the said Glen R. Brisbin for the sum hereinabove set forthJ subject to any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby. instructed to execute said quit claim daedJ and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and ell accrued int..rest thereon ha s been paid in full. Under the head cf P~ad1ng and Passeage of Ordinances the foll~~ng ordinance passed its third rcadir~ I and was finally adopted: 'I AN ORDINANCE creating a "State Aid Fun:!" and crcating a "War Liquor Tax Fun! n. ) It was moved by Commissioner ~asters that the foregoing ordinance be placed on its final reading and adopted. Seconded l::y MaYOr Robinson. On roll call all members voted aye. The M'lf or declared the motion carried. I I Under the head of New Business: : It appearing that tho Light Department ol\ned one 1956 Dodge Panel Body Sedan, Serial No. 4089564, Motor I 'I' No. D~75771 and it further appearing that the Department had no further use for the car, the Superintendent was 1nstructed to ask for bids for its sale and the following bids were received: ! Port Angeles Motors, V. A. Samuelson & Co., G. A. Dressel, $~95 .00 550.00 575.00 After-due consideration it was moved by Comissioner Masters that the bid of C. A. Dressel be accepted and the said car sold to him. Seconded by Mayor Robinson. On roll CAll all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. It appearing that tha terms of Office of all members of the City Planning Commission had expired, MAyor Robinson named and placed in nomination the following named persons to act as an advisory committee on plannl.ng: Al Lamoureux Horace G. Horstman John Reiners Mrs. Herbert M. McGee I vor Smith It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing appointments be confirmed. Beam. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
