Roll call of officers showed the folloVling present: Mayor Epperson, Oorrunissioners Steele and Johnson, Attorney Wilson, and Ole rk Law. The minutes 0 f the previous session were read and approved. McDonald, and was 'infonned that hearing was set for September 11th. :Attorney Severyns appeared for Ade I s Taxi Co. requesting a stand for one taxi, west of Port Angeles Hotel, ,to relieve congestion of present stand at First & Lincoln, and Vias advised that the City COllunission would consider the matter and give decision at next session. , Roy Welch, health inspector, recommended changing the site of the City dump to location west from residents.!~ Supt. Pike was instructed to get naE~S of property OVIDers and estimate of road construction. Welch also discussed rodent control, dIld agreed to consult an experienced supervisor regarding Vlhat expert eradicator would have to offer. The problem of sewage disposal in Danz Addition on Mount Angeles Road was also discussed, and residents of this district will be instructed to make written application for permission I to tie in vnth Francis :itreet trunk sewer. The agreement by Ordinance No. ll68, of the Commission permittiog the transfer of sublease by C~escent Logging Company to Fibreboard Products, Inc., was approved and signed. Under the nead of introduction of resolutions for the sale of real property by the City, the following was iotroduced: Rufus Lester Lot 17, Blk. 5~2, Tmvnsite' 325.00 It was moved by OorrunissiolWr Steele that the foregoiog resolution be approved and the property sold. Seconded by Gorrunissioner Johnson. An members voted Aye. Motion carried. A requeet by School District No.7 for the vacation of a portion of the alley between Fourth dnd Fifth Sts. running westerly from the west side of Chase Street 550 feet, having been considered by the Commission at the session of August 28th, the following resolution ....,.s intl10duced eetting date of hearing. RESOWTION 'WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles by all the property o"ners of the property abuttiog on the following described alley requesting that the following portions of Illthe alley be va ca ted, to .n t : That certain alley between Fourth Street and Fifth Street running westerly from the west side of Chase Street a distance of 350 feet to the easterly line of ~ots Eight (8) and Eleven (11) extended, in Block One Hundred Sixty-nine (169) feet, Townsite of Port Angeles. AND WHEREAS, it is necessary to let the Corrunission fix a time and place for hearing on said petition, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles that a hearing on said petition to vacate said alley be held in the City Commission Room of the City of Port Angeles on Wednesday, the 25th day of September, 1946, at the hour of 11 o'clock, A.M. .. It was moved by commissioner Johnson that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by kayor Epperson. All members voted Aye. Motion carried. ,I Following are copies of the Notice of Hearing and the Affidavit of Posting: NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 28th day of August, 1946, a petition Vias filed vnth the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, to vacate the following described alley, to wit: That certain alley between Fourth Street and Fifth Street running westerly from the west side of Chase Street a distance of 350 feet to the easterly line of Lots Eight (8) and Eleven (11) extended, in Block One Hundred Sixty-nine (169) feet, Tovmsite of Port Angeles.
