the City of Port Angeles to vacate that portion of the alley running northerly and southerly in Block Three
of Cain's Subdivision of Suburban Lot No. lS of the City of Port Angeles, lying between Lots One, Two, ~ree

portion of the alley in the said Block Three, said alley being approximately 15 feet in width. I

the City of Port Angeles to vacate the Westerly 250 feet of the alley running in a generally Easterly and
IWesterly direction through Block 55 of Norman R. Smith's Subdivision of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Clallam
I County, Washington, said alley being approximately 20 feet in width.
Notice is hereby given that on the 1st day of August, 1945, the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles
duly adopted .,resolution direction that a hearing on said petition to vacate said alley be held at the City

After due consideration it w~s moved by Commissioner Masters tbot the We~terly 250 feet of the alley running
in a generally Easterly and Westerly direction through Block 35 of Norman R. Smith 's Subdivision of the ;
Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington be vacated and the City Attorney be instructed to bring in an ordinllnce
Vacating the same. Motion seconded by !layor Robinson. On roll call all members voted Aye. The Mayor
I: declared the motion carried.

Under the head of introduction of Ordinances, the following ordinance was introduced, read in full and
passed its first and second reacilings:
ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE setting forth an emergency affecting the public health and safety; requiring expenditures
unforeseen; providing for the issuance of emergency warrants; and declaring an emergency making the
ordinance immediately effective.
I; Under the head of new business: In the matter of an agreement by and between the City Commissioners of the
City of Port Angeles, and the County Commissioners of Clallam COunty, Washington, wherein the City of Port I
Angeles does give and grant to Clallam County, Suburban Blocks 109 and 110, situa.ted within the Lincoln Park,
of Port Angeles, WBshington to be used by Clallam County for Fair Grounds purposes for a term of 25 years. :
II After due consideration it was moved by Commissioner Masters that the Mayor and City Clerit be instructed to I
sign said agreement on behalf of the City of Port Angeles. Seconded by Mayor Robinson. On roll call, all I
members voted Aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.

~WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles is the owner of the follOl'Ting described real property, having acquired the
same by Treasurer's deed, dated September If, 1945, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9595 of
,Remington's Revised Statuted, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-wit:

Lots Seventeen (17) and Eighteen (18), Block One Hundred Forty-three (143), Townsite
of Port Angeles, Washington, and

WHEREAS, Louis O. Norberg an:! Lillian Norberg, husband and wife, have offered to purchase from the City of
i, Port Angeles the above described real property for the sum of $150.00, payable as follows: $20.00 as a down i
I payment and $10.00 on or before the lOth day of October, 1945, and $10.00 On lr before the 10th day of each'
and every morith thereafter until paid in full, togetner with interest a I'. the rate of 7% per annum on monthly
balances and paid with the monthly installment, and

WHEREAS, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair va.,
and at this time it is the best interest of the City that it should be accepted an:! the sale made. i
NOiV, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said offer be acc!,pted ;rnd that the City of Port Angeles sell the I
said property at private sale to the said Louis O. Norberg and Lillian Norberg, for the sum hereinabove set
forth, Subject to any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a I
quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk 0 f the City of Port Angele~
be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit cladm deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port
,Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to countersign said q,ui I'. clilim deed when the purchase price and all

,jWHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired the'

WHEREAS" Eleslie R. Johnston has offered to purchase the above described real property from the City of Port
Angeles for the sum of 1150.00, payable aa follows: $1S'JOO as a down payment and $10.00 on ilIr before October
1, 1945, and $10.00 on or before the 10th day of each and every month thereafter until paid in full, together
with interest on monthly balances at the rate of 7% per annum and paid with the monthly installments, and I
I WHEREAS, The City Conunission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value!1
and that at this time it is the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and the sale made. !

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the said '
property at private sale to the said Eleslie R. Johnston for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any
i other valid liens against the same; that tha City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit cLaim deed
conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he is
hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and he
is hereby instructed to countersign said quit ca.1im deed when the pll'l'chase price and all accrued interest
thereon has been paid in full. .
It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing resolutions be approved and adopted. Seconded by
'I Commissioner Be!llJl. On roll call, all members voted Aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
