The Commiss\. oners met in regular session at 10 a.m. and was called to 0 rder by Mayor Beetle. Roll call
showed the following officers present: Mayor Beetle, Corrunissioners Beam and Lind, Attorney Conniff and
Clerk Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of Applications for Building Permits and Licenses the following were granted:
Jess Middleton, Build House, Lot 20, Block 344, Townsite

Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolution was introduced:
RESOLUTION
, WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired
the same by Treasurer's Deed dated September 5, 1940, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9393
of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws of 1929, page 365, to-wit:
Lot ~.o (2), Block Three (3), Hartt & Cooke's Subdivision of Suburban Lot 31 of the
Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, and
WHEREAS, James D. Schell has offered to purchase from the City of Port Angeles the above described real
property for the sum of $150.00, payable as follows: $20.00 as a down payment and $10.00 on or before the
1st day of October, 1940, and $10.00 on or before the 1st day of each and eve y month thereafter until
said $150.00 has been paid. in full, togethar with interest at the rate of 7% per annum to be computed on
monthly balances due and paid with the monthly installment, and
WHEREAS, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair
value and that at this time it is to the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and the sale.!

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the said I
I property at private sale to the said James D. Schell for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any other
valid liens against the same j that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying 11
said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby
instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and he is i
here by instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued interest' I
thereon has been paid in full.
It was moved by vommissioner Beam that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Commissioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
The Commission examined and allowed the following claims and ordered warrant s drawn for same:
