HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 09/12/1945 ,.. 140 Proceedings of the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles, Washington , September__l2.,_1945___ The Commission met in regular session at 10 A.M., and was called to order by Mayor Robinson. Roll Call I showed the following Officers present: Mayor Robinson, Commissioners Beam and Masters, and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Under the head of reading and passage of Ordinances, the following Ordinance passed its third reading and finally approved and adopted: ORDINANCE NO. An ORDINANCE setting forth an emergency affecting the public health and safety; requiring expenditures i unforeseen; providing for the issuance of emergency warrants; and declaring an emergency making the ordinance immediately effective. I It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing Ordinance be approved and adopted. Seconded by Mayor Robinson. On roll call, all members voted Aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. An Ordinance regulating the use of Fuel Oil was introduced and passed its first reading: ORDINANCE NO. I installa- i of permit~ I An ORDINANCE regulating the use of fuel oil, the sale for use in the City of Port Angeles, and the tion of oil-burning devices and oil storage tanks far heating purposes; prividing for the issuance for such installa tions and providing for a penalty fa r the viola tion thereof. II Under the head of new business: Mayor Robinson placed the name of Percy Pollanz in nomination as a member of' the planning Commission to fill the vacancy caused bY;i;he death of William Gilliam. It was moved by Commiss.,- ioner Masters that the foregoing nomination be approved and confirmed. Seconded by Commissioner Beam. On I roll call, all members voted Aye.
