Proceedings of the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles, Washington

The Commission met in reguler session at 10 A.M. and was called to order by Mayor Davis. Roll call showed
the following officers present: Mayor DaviS, Commissioner Masters, Attorney Conniff and Clerk Hawkins.
The minutes of1he previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of Applications for lbilding Permits and Licenses the following were granted:
J. Kieth Smith, Move and remodel garage, Lots 21 and 22, Block58, PSCC Subd. of Sub, Lot 25
Brown's Second Hand Store, Second Hand Dealer's License

Under the head of Introduction of resolutions the following resolution was introduced:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The C1 ty of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property having acquired
the same by Treasurer's Deed, dated September 20, 1939, under and by virtue of the authority of Section
9595 of Remington I s Revised Statutes, lllapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, Page 565, to-wit:
Lot Fourteen (14), Block Thirty-seven (57), Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, and
WHEREAS, Ralph Daniels has offered to purchase the above described real property from tbe' City of Port
Angeles, for the S1lli of $550.00, payable as follows: $50.00 as a down pllO'JOOnt and the halance of $300.00, j
payable $10.00 on or before the 15 t day of November, 1959, and $10.00 on or before the 1st day of each and
every month thereafter until paid in full. Interest on the balance clue to be computed and paid month ly
at the rate of 7% per anmrn, and
WHEREAS, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair
value and is in excess of the amount paid by~tl1e.Q1ty for said property, plus all L.I.D. assessments,
including interest and other charges against the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said offer be accepted ani that the City of Port Iulgeles sell the l
said property at private sale to the said Ralph Daniels for the sum herein set forth, subject to any
other valid liens against the same.; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit clain, deed I
conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City CIeri<: of Port Angeles be and he is hereby I
instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the aity of Port Angeles be and he is hereby
instructed to countersign said quitclaim deed when the purchase price and all accroied interest thereon I'
has been paid in full.

It was moved by Comnissioner Masters that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Mayor Davis. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
The Commission examined and allowed the follOl'fing claims and ordered warrants drawn for same:
