Roll call shoYrecJ the following officers present: If.ayor Robinson, Commissioners Beam and ~jatters, Attorney Johnston and Clerk Hawkins. Hathaway build filing shed .Auto fense, Lot 8, block 553 Townsite Ma rine Drive Lunch, 1 Music Machine Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolution was i.ntroduced. RESOLUTION Whereas, The City of Port angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired the same by Treasurer's deed dated September 20,1959, under and by virtue of the authority of section 9593 of remington's revised Statutes, Chapter 145, of the laws of 1929, page 365, to-vdt; Lot Six (6), Block Twenty-one (21), of Norw~nR. Smith's Subdivision of the Towr.si te of Port Angeles, Washington, and Whereas, Pete Psornas has offered to purchase the above described rea property from the City of Port Angeles for the sum of $275.00, and Whereas the City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and that at this time it is to the bset interest of the City that it should be accepted and the sale made. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the said property at private sale to the said Pete Pamoas, for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to an;;{ other valid liens agailnst the same; that the City attorne)' be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed convoying said property to the purchaser; that the City Clerk of the City of Port~ngeles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port ~~eles be and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit alain:. deed. It was moved by Commissioner masters that the forgoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Beam. On roll call all members voted aye. The Il".ayor declared the motion carried. Under the haed of Introduction of Ordinances the following Ordinance was introduced, read in full and pIeced placed on its first reading: An ordinance amending Ordinance No.lUll of the City of Port Angeles, adopted by the City Commissicn April 15, 1942, declaring an erranergency and making the ordinance effective im:nediately. Under the head of unfinished business, the following ordinance came for consideration on its second reading: An ordinance relating to public health and sanitation; regulating the collection and disposal of garbage, refuse, trash, offal and dead anin:.als; providing for the establishment, maintenance ami operation of a compulsory system of garbage collection and disposal in the City of Port Angeles, mahng making delinquent charges for services performed B lien upon property; providing penalties for the violationhereofl and repealing Ordinance No. 707, passed February 16th. ,192~; Ordinance No. 826, passed I June 22nd, 1927; and ordinance No.1021. passed Septomber 4th. 1955, and repealing all other Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith. It was moved by Mayor Robimson that the said Ordinance above eeferred to be amended by eliminating that part of section 5 of said Ordinance reading as follows: n and upon application qy any person to the Superintendent of the City Sanitory Department, showing a proper disposal of all garbage by said person to the complete satisfaction of said Superintendent the minimum cgharge for garbage service may be eliminated upon tire approval by said Si.lperintendent on the written application filed with him. I Motion seconded by Co~issioner Masters. On rol~ call all members voted aye. The mayor declared the motion carried.
