The officers I"present were: Mayor Feeley, Commissioners llobinscn and Taylor, Attorney Trumbull, and Clerklaw. 'Minutes of the previous session were read and approved. King, Sr. Construct 4-Hoom Dwelling; Lot 17, 8lk. 551, Townsite Sig Larsen He-roof Existing Dwelling; Lots 19-20, Blk. 378, Townsite Sig Larsen Remodel and He-roof Roof on Existing Dwelling; Lot 2, Blk. 178, Townsite Don Smith Build House; Lot 14, Blk. 194, Townsite IFirst Baptist Church Remodel Classrooms; Lots 8 and 9, alk. 166, Townsite dO , Licenses: )., - ,Fox Tiffany Studios Traveling Photogrspher 400.00 2,000.00 500 .00 2,000.00 8,000.00 4,000.00 2.00 'Under the head of unfinished business, pursuant to bids published for 10" water main, the following were opened: Johns-Manville Sales Corp., Asbestos Cement Pipe, $2.56 per foot or $5,120.00; United States Pipe and Founlry Co., Cast Iron Pipe @ $5.012 per foot; H. D. Fowler Co., Century Asbestos Cement Pipe \<l i2.535 'per foot; Western Utilities Supply Co., Cast Iron Pipe @ $3.49 per foot. After comp rison, discussion, s:'ld due consideration, it was moved by Commissioner Taylor that the bid submitted by the Johns-Manville Co. be accepted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Hobinson. All voted Aye. Motion carried. One bi~ for Lots 11, 12, and 13, in Block 595, Townsite of Port Angeles, was submitted by L. O. Madison in the amount of $100.00. This being the appraisal price and no other bids, it was moved by Commissioner Robinson that the bid be accepted and sale made. Motion seconded by Conunissioner Taylor. All voted Aye. Motion carried. The Engineer informed tha t the thirty day period since completion and acceptanca of Laurel Street fill by Hugh Govan has elapsed and no uncomplete or defective work has been discovered. It was moved by ,Commissioner Taylor that the 15.%, or $560.05 be paid the contractor. Seconded by Commissioner Robinson. 'All voted Aye. Motion carried. iUnderthe head of new business, a letter from Dr. Risser, County Health Officer, was read before the COllmlission. Dr. Risser requested that the Commission consider appropriations as required in their ludget Ifor next year I s operation. Alsc ci ted cost of operation and amounts available from sources other than the City, and that curtailment would be necessary unless requested appropriations are forthcoming. The Commission ordered correspondence filed. IAttorn~y Severyns eppeared regarding delivery of pCWfer by Bonneville to Industries, informing that franchise 'for power lines granted to Northwest Power and owned by Crown Zellerbach will be transferred to Rayonier, :Inc., :who will be rssponsible for lines after connections are made. The matter was referred to the Finance : Commissioner. , iAttorney Trumwll discussed establishment of L.I.D. No. 152 and an Ordinance creating the same. After due 'consideration the following Ordinance was introduced: ORDINANCE NO. LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. !2L IIAN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of South Pine Street in the Ci tor of Port Angeles by the "constructicn and laying therein of a trunk sewer from the present terminus of the trunk sewer thereon at the ;inters.llction of said street with the alley between Twelfth and Thirteenth Streets to a point approximstely 120 feet North of the Southerly margin of Sixteenth Street, creating Local Improvement District No. 152, and ;providing for the payment of the cost of such improvements by special assessment upon the property benefited, :'.'and pr.oviding for the isslie of bonds for the payment of such cost, all in accord with Improvement Resolutionl,. iNo. 152 of the City of Port Angeles and in conformity with maps, plans and specifications prepared by the iCity Engineer and approved by the City Commission. illt was: moved by C0lllll1iss1oner Robinson that the foregoing Ordinance be placed on first and second reading. . 'Seconded by Commissioner Taylor. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
