The Commis sion met in regular session at 10 a.m., and was called to order by Mayor Beetle, Rollcall
showed the following officers present: Mayor Beetle, Commissioners Beam and Lind, Acting Attorney Taylor
and Clerk Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under.the head of applications for building permits and licenses the following were granted:
Ed Elterich, Remodel po~rch,.Lot 13, Block 268, Townsite
Mr. Ed Panta, Build Garage, Lot 16, Block 92, Townsite
M.J.Sch'llitt, Build house, Lot 17, Block 200, Townsite
Dew-Drop-Inn, Restaurant License
Dew-Drop-Inn, Soft drink license
Lincoln Cafe, Restaurant License

Under .the head of In$troduction of Resolutions the following resolutions were introduced:
RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING EASEMENT TO UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FOR WATER PIPE LINE
WHEREAS, the government of the United States of America has applied for an easement for a right-of-way
to lay a two-inch water main in and across certains streets within the City of Port Angeles,and
WHEREAS, it is necessary in the :Interest of National llefense that such easement be granted, and that
the term thereof be for the durationof the present war emergency and for six(6) months thereafter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the United States of America be and hereby is granted an easement
fora right-of way for a two-inch water main located as follows:
"From the connection to the City of Port Angeles Water Departrr.ent' s four-inch water main
on Sixth Street and what is commonly known as Evans Avenue, or the first strm-et west of "MIl Streetj said
t,.o-inch water pipe is to parallel Sixth Street approximately thirty-two feet south of the north margin
and to run in a westerly direction a distance of 700 feet, more or less, from the above named connection
to the right-of way of Chicago, milwaukee, St.Paul & Pacific Railroed Company."
THAT SUCH easement shall be granted for a non:inal consideration and shall run for the duration of the
present wer emergency and for six (6) months thereafter.
THAT THE Mayor and City Clerk be and hereby are authorized and directed to execute such easement on
behalf of the City of Port Angeles.

It was moved by Commissioner Lind that the foregoing~be approved and adopted. Seconded by Commissioner
Beam. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the State Highway Department has painted traffic stripes on 10.6 miles of the streets in the
City of Port Angeles at a cost of $373.88, which said amount is properly chargeable to the Gas Tax Fund
accruing in the State Treasurer's office to the credit of the City of Port Angeles.
NOW, THEHEFORJj:,BE IT RESOLVED, that the State Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and requested to
transfer the sum of $575.88 from the Gas Tax Fund accruing in the State Treasurer's office to the credit
of the City of Port Angeles to the proper State Highway Fund to reimburse said fund for the expenditure
above referred to.
It was moved by Commissioner Lind that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconed by
Commissioner Beam. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
