Roll call showed the following officers present: Mayor Davis, Commissioners Lutz and Masters, Attorney Plummer and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Under the head of Applications of Building Permits and Licenses the follmwing were granted: ,..~,. . Oviatt, 1 Barber Chair Brian White, 3 Taxi Cabs Angela Shelvey, Soft Drinks 75.00 80.00 60.00 1.00 15.00 5.00 Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions, the following Resolution was introduced: RESOIlUTION MiEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of certain structures on Ediz Hook consisting of a small frame two-room office building and open garage located upon property formerly occupied by the Port Ahgeles Cooperage Company but control of which ~ has reverted to the City, holding under lease from the United States Government, and MiEREAS, said property is in constant danger of being destroyed by fire or torn apart I by pers ons residing or being in the neighborhood, wi th comple<!;e loes to the City, and ~HEREAS, ~ohnson Tug & Barge Co. have offered the City the sum of ~50.00 for said buildings to be removed from the premises and the same being a fair price for the property, It is believed no more could be obtained by calling for bids, and it is desirable to have the property removed from the premises to reduce the hazard of fire. BE IT RESOLVED By the City Commission of the City of Port ....ngeJl:es, That the City do sell the said structure tm the Johnson Tug & Barge Company for the sum of $50.00 cash, and the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a 'proper bill of sale and the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the same and that it be delivered to the pur- chaser on payment of the purchase price. 11; was moved by :Commissioner Masters that the foregoing Resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Lutz. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor d.eclared the motion carried. Under the head of New Business,- It was moved by Mayor Davis that S. J. Lutz and F. L. Plummer be designated as delegates at the State-wide Conventimn of Washington Cities to be at Spokane, Nash., October 4th and 5th, 1934. Seconded by Commissioner Masters. On roll call all mem- bers voted aye. The Mayor declared the mot~on carried. It appearing that during the period from January 1, 1933, to September 1 ,1934, the City Light Department had furnished the City with Electric Current for street and Building Lighting, amounting to $19,887.82. Also during thms period, Emergency Relief Work was paid out of the Light Fund in the sum of $475.02 and out of the Water Fund in the sum of $569.04. These amounts being set up on the Books of the Light and Water Department as charges against the City Current Expense Fund. It was therefore moved by Commrssioner Masters that the Light and Water Departments write the said amounts off their books by making counter charges due-the City Current Expense Fund for &mounts due in lieu of taxes or assessments on revenue, and thereafter make monthly entries in the same manner covering the ~lectric Current furnished the City for lighting purposes, Provided that at no time said charges shall exceed the legal limit provided by law. Seconded by Commissioner Lutz. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared themotion carried.
