The Commission met in regular session at 10:00 A. M. and was called to order by Mayor Robinson. Roll call I
showed the follo.,ring officers present: Mayor Robinson, Commissioners Beam and M asters, Attorney Johnston I
and Clerk Hawkins. '
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Police Judge, W. F. Phillips, reported 76 cases tried and $1,211.50 collected in fines. Report ordered
filed.
Under the head of Applications for Building Permits, the follOWing were granted:
J. E. Giles, Store Building, Lot 6, Block 17, Thompson & Goodwin's Addition

Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the follOWing Resolutions were introduced:
RESOWTION
WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the mmer of the following described real property, having a~uired
the same bw Treasurer's Deed, dated December 15, 1941, under and by '~rtue of the authority of Section 9393
of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws of 1929, page 365, to-wit: .
Lot Three (3) Block Two Hundred Fifty-eight (258)
Tovmsite of Port Angeles, Washington
WHEREAS, Emil A. Cayanus, a widower, and Ethel Cayanus, a widow, have offered to purchase the above
real property from the City of Port Angeles for the sum of $150.00, and

WHEREAS, the City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinj,on that the offer is fair
value and is in excess of the amount paid by the City for said property, plus all L.LD. assessments, in-
cluding interest and other charges against the same.
Naff, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the
said property at private sale to the said Emil A. Cayanus and Ethel Cayanus, for the sum hereinabove set
forth, subject to any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare
a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchasers, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port
Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the Ci~ of I
Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and'
all accrned interest thereon has been paid in full.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired
, the same by Treasurer's deed, dated October 17, 1943, under and ITI virtue of the authority of Section 9393

said property at private sale to the said Harry E. Vfyatt for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any
other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed

WHEREAS, Joseph J. Dailey and Iris C. Dailey, husband and wife, have offered to purchase the above described
real property from the City of Port Angeles for the sum of $720.00, payable as follows: $120.00 as a down I
payment and $50.00 on or before the 15th day of November, 1945, and $50.00 on or before the 15th day of each
and every month .thereafter until paid in full. Interest to be computed at the nate of 7'/> per annum on the I
balance due and paid with the monthly installments, and

WHEREAs, Clarence E. Adamire and Olive V. Adamire, husband and wife, have e>fferad to purchase the above
described real property from the City of Port Angeles for the sum of $175.00, and
WHEREAS, the City Commisaion has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair
value and at this time it is the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and the sale made. i
NOff, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell I
the said property at private sale to the said Clarence E. Adamire and Olive V. Adamire, husband and wife'l
for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid liens against the same; that the City -
Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchasers, and that I
the City Clerl< of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed,
and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit'

It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the four foregoing Rasolutions be approved and adopted. On
roll call all present voted Aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.

of Remington's Ravi~ad Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws of 1929, page 365, to-wit:

Towneite of Port Angeles, Washington, and
WHEREAS, Vernon A. Anderson has offered to purchase fro;' the City of Port Angeles the above described
real property for the swn of ~300.00, payable as follows: $50.00 as a down payment and $15.00 on or before
the 10th day of November, 1945, and !J15.DO on or before the 10th day of each and every month thereafter '
until paid in full, together with interest at the rate of 7% per annum computed on monthly balances due '

said property at private sale to the said Vernon A. Anderson, for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject

deed, conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be
and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port
Angeles be and he is herehj' instructed to countersign said quitclaim deed when the purchaee price and
all accrued interest thereon has been paid in full.
It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing Resolution be approved and adopted.

passed its third reading and finally adopted:
ORDINANCE NO.
An Ordinance amending Section 16 of Ordinance No. 1020, as amended by Section 4 of Ordinance No. 1087,
entitled "An Ordinance relating to the use of the streets of the City of Port Angeles, providing for
designation of special restricted zones, etc." and declaring an emergency.
It was moved by COll'Jnissioner Masters that the foregoing Ordinance be approved and finally adllpted. ,
Seconded by Co~esioner Be~~. On roll call all members voted Aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.

An Ordinance adopting and approving the City Budget of and for the Gity of Port Angeles for the fiscal
year, 1946, and declaring an emergency.
ORDINANCE NO.
An Ordinance confirming the estill'.ates of expenditures for the City of Port Angeles for the year 1946,
and fixing -tax le-lies for said year 1946 as heretofore made and levied by the City Connnission meeting
and sitting for that purpose on the 1st day of October, 194.5, and declaring an emergency.

\ Under the head of New Business:
, A petition signed by Clyde Kight and others asking that the sewer on West Sixth Street be extended from
I West Sixth Street and N Street to West Sixth Street and M Street, then came before the Commission for
r consideration.
I The Commission instructed the Engineer to check the petition as to cost and report to the Comnission.
Mayor Robinson then presented the name cf Fred C. Strange for reappointment to the Planning COImlission.
It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing appointment be approved and confirmed. Seconded
by Commissioner Beam. On roll call all members voted Aye. The Wayor declared the mati on carried.
