The Commission met in regular session at 10 a.m. and was called to order by Mayor Davis.
Roll call showed the following officers present: Mayor Davis, Commissioners Beam and
Masters, ~ttorney Conniff and 61erk Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Police Judge, Thos. Geisness, reported five cas~s tried and twelve traffic violations
and $47.00 colleoted in fines for the month of ~eptember; 1936.
Under the head of "pplioations for Building Permits and Lioenses the folloVli!3g were

Under the head of Introduotion of Resolutions the following resolution Vias introduoed:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the {;ity of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described roal property
in. said ci ty, t o-v'i t:
Lots 5 and 6 inBlook 164 of the Townsite of Port Angeles,
Clallam County, ~ashington;

AND \'ffiEREAS Edward G. Mills has offered to purchase the said property for the sum of
$900.00 payably in cash on delivery of deed, and
iffiERZAS the City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the
offer is fair value:
NOW, THER<;FORE, BE IT RZSOLVED, That the said offer be accepted and that the City sell
said property at private sale to the said ~dward G. Mills for the sum hereinabove set
forth; and that the ";i ty "ttorney be instructed to prepare a qui t claim deed conveying
the property to the aaid Edward G. Mills and that the City Clerk and the Mayor be and
they are hereby instructed to execute such a deed and to deliver the same to the said
Edward G. Mills upon receipt of the said purchase price of ~900.00.
It was m~ved by Commissioner Mas te rs tha t the foregoing re solut ion be approved and adopte
Seconded by Commissi~er Beam. On roll cal~ all members voted aye. The Mayor deolared
the motion oarried.
Under the head of Introduction of Ordinanoes, the following ordinances were introduoed,
read in full and placed on their first and second readirigs:
AN ORDINANCE adopting and approving the ';i ty budget of and for the City of Port "ngele s,
for the fiscal year, 1937, and declaring an emergency.
AN ORDINANCE Confirming the estimate of expenditures for the City of Port '\ngeles for
the year 1937, and fixing tax levies for said year, 1937, as heretofore made and levied
by the City Gommission meeting and sitting for that purpose on the 5th day of October,
1936, and declaring an emergency.
Under the head of New Busineos,-
Fred R. Norton having submitted a request in writing to have his restaurant license
for the Merchants Cafe, No. 3957, transferred to C. D. Ulmer, and there appearing to be
no objection the Commission ins,ructed the City Clerk to make said transfer as requested.
Hugh McCreadie having submitted a request in writing to have his Master Plumber's
License, No. 4028, issueq to the Northwest Plumbing & Heating Company, transferred to
Harold Hibbs Plumbing & Heating Company, the business having been sold to the said
Harold Hibbs, and there appearing to bc no objection the Commission instructed the City
Clerk to make said transfer as requested.
