Roll call showed the following officers present: Mayor Beetle. Commissicner~ Beam and Lind and Clerk Hawkins. Pursuant to Law and published notices the Commission took up the matter of hearing thr budget for the ye ar 1941. Following is the assessed valuation of the City of Port Angeles as submitted by the County Assessor: Port l~geles. Washington. September 12. 1946 Mr. N':t Ci ty o:f Hawkins, Clerk Port Angeles, Washington. Dear Sir:- In compliance with the statutes governing, I herewith submit the assessed valuation of all Real a~d Perscnal property subject to taxation within the corporate limits of the City of Port Angeles, Washington. for the year 1941. as equalized by the Board of Equalization of Clallam County and the State Board of Equalization of the State of Washington. as follows. To-wit; Total assessed valuation of all Real and Personal property -------------- $4.917.736.00 Respectfully submitted. Vernon J. Robinson County Assessor. The Commission instructed the City Clerk to increase the item "Supt.of Utilities" under salaries & wages in the Light Department Budget on page 45 from $3180.00 to $3420.00 and decrease the item "Extra Labor & Wages" on the same page from $3600.00 to $3360.00. After going over and carefully considering each item of the budget, it was moved by Commissioner Beam that the budget for the year 1941 be approved and adopted as follows; and that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare ordinances approving and adopting the budget and confirming the estimates of expendi tures and fixing the tax levy: Departments Mayor Commissioner of Finance Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvements I Treasurer Clerk Engineer Attorney Police Court City Hall Miscellaneous Police Department Fire Department Public Pound Health Street Department Less Estimated Receipts City Street Fund Less Estimated Receipts Library Less Estimated Receipts' Park Less Estimated Recsipts 8th. Street Bridge Bonds Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund Less Estimated Receipts L.I.D.Guaranty Bonds Total to be raised by Taxation Li ght Department - Expend i tures Estimated Receipts Water Department - Expenditures Estimated Receipts Elwha River Bond Fund - Expenditures Estimated Receipts The Motion was seconded by Commissioner Lind.
