Was~ington OCTOBER 7 19----6l ~.~ SPECIAL MEETING , The City Council met at 7:30 p.m. Officers present were Mayor Maxfield, Councilmen Smith, Thorne, Cornell, Willson and Wolfe, Manager Herrman, Attorney Moffett and Clerk McNeece. In accordance with Statutes governing, the public hearing on the Budget for 1964 was opened. I IThe Mayor cited changes and corrections to be made and commented on the format change in the budge~ Ifor 1964. To Del Price's question of why does the Water Department revenue show such an increase, the Mayor pointed out that the Water Construction Fund is no longer a fund and that the construction revenue shows as revenue in the Water Department. Mr. Ed Taylor asked whether the Council is adopting an unbalanced budget. The Mayor explained that even though the estimated expendit~res are more that the estimated revenues, there is esti- mated unexpended cash balances in the funds which can be used. There being no objections or protests made or filed, the public hearing was closed and the follow- ing ordinances introduced and read in full: ORDINANCE NO. 1518 AN ORDINANCE approving and adopting the budget of the City of Port Angeles for the fiscal year 1964. It was moved by Councilman Wolfe that the foregoing ordinance be adopted. Seconded by Councilman Thorne and unanimously carried. ORDINANCE NO. 1519 AN ORDINANCE confi~ing the estimates of expenditures for the City of Port Angeles for the year 1964 and affixing the tax levies for said year as heretofore made and levied by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles, meeting and sitting for such purpose. It was moved by Councilman Willson that the foregoing ordinance be approved and adopted. Seconded by Councilman Cornell and unanimously carried.
